This story takes place whan Clank comes back after being stuck with the Zoni for a few years.
Clank dropped down on the ground after being stuck with those god-foresaken Zoni for two years.
He looked around to see if Ratchet was anywhere to be seen, but he didn't see him anywhere. He took another glance around, and also noted that no-one was around. What happened? Clank walked around to see where everyone was at, until he walked in a particular room and saw the Zoni had came back! Clank ran over to them, and they immediately flew away. He saw that there was a particularily large group of Zoni crowded around a fuzzy creature. Clank ran over to the area and the group flew away, leaving the creature to lay there, clinging to life. Clank turned the creature over and saw that the creature was none other than Ratchet.
Ratchet looked up at him, blood flowing from his left brow and a scar crossing over his mouth.
He looked as if he wasn't even awake. Clank felt his heartbeat, but there wasn't one. He was dying!
"Ratchet, speak to me."
Ratchet looked in his eyes and coughed up some blood before he spoke."Clank. You're back."
"What happened?"
"Zoni(cough) came and(cough) were mad at me because they lost you to me,so they decided to (cough) get rid of me so they could have you."
"We can fix you. You do not have to die. We can-"
"Don't. I don't deserve to live. I let you down." Ratchet began to cry.
Clank brushed the tear away."You did not let me down. You did the one thing that made my life worth while."
Ratchet looked up at him."What's that?"
"You were there. I love you."
"Clank, I love you to." Ratchet fell limp. Clank checked his heartbeat, but there wasn't one.
"You fulfilled your purpose. You were there."
