I'm trying to get into writing in different character's POV, so here's my first Angel one-shot. Third person Angel's POV. Super short. Enjoy anyways.

When Fang left, Angel realized her mistake.

She had taken over because she thought Max was getting too soft; too weak. Too much of a girlfriend than a leader. And the flock needed a leader.

But when Fang left, Angel saw the soft side of everybody.

Including herself.

Up till now, she thought that the flock could survive a loss. Sure, there'd be tears, crying, days of misery and wallowing in self-pity...but never hopelessness. Now that Fang had left...

Max was depressed.

She didn't mope around like maybe a normal girlfriend after a terrible break-up would; she was worse. She was trying to pull herself together for the flock's sake, but her façade was worse than not eating, not sleeping, not drinking.

Max wasn't living up to her name. She wasn't the maximum.

Instead, she was an empty shell, devoid of any emotion. She rarely smiled or laughed anymore. Her face was creased into a permanent frown; already, she looked years older, as though twenty years had already gone by, not twenty days. Her brown eyes had lost most of their energy, her hair limp. She had even stopped taking long, hot showers. She was silent most of the time, answering only when spoken to. Though she still lived, she wasn't...living.

Angel knew she was only staying alive, not chasing after Fang, and not sobbing her heart out for one thing, and one thing only.

For Fang.

And that was what made Angel sad—not just that everybody else was sad, or that, yes, she missed Fang, but the fact that Max was only being the leader for somebody who was gone. Not the flock. Not Nudge, not Iggy, not Gazzy, certainly not Dylan, but not even for her, Max's little baby. Max's sweetie-pie.

Like they said, "Trust can take years to build, but only a second to break."

And Max couldn't trust Angel anymore. Not her, not Nudge, not Iggy, not Gazzy—they had all thrown her out. It was unanimous. Not Dylan, because Max still was wondering about his motives. Plus, him trying to suck up to her was kinda creeping Max out. But now, Max couldn't trust Fang anymore either, now that he had just...left her. And he had been the only person she really trusted as much as she did herself. Now that he was gone, who was left to trust? Max's Voice was even turning against her as well, urging her to 'get together' was Dylan. Who was left? She couldn't even trust herself. And the world was built on trust. Not peace, not love—trust.

And now, she couldn't even trust the not-so-angelic Angel.

Kinda angst-y. Sorry I haven't been updating my How to Write a Compelling MR Fanfic Fanfic, but I'm just...encountering a major writer's block. I may/may not delete it, but for now...R&R!
