A/N: So I haven't written anything in about 4 years and definitely nothing in the One Piece fandom. So excuse it if it's crap. I thought of this randomly this morning when I was supposed to be getting ready for uni. I don't know if anything like this has been done before, so if it has, I apologise and stuff. Sorry it's so short. It's kind of obvious that the characters don't belong to me and who they belong to. Oh if there are any mistakes, feel free to point them out.
Roronoa Zoro did not usually have dreams, however on this day, he did dream. His dreams involved his beloved childhood friend, Kuina, and his nakama, rival and equal, Blackleg Sanji. Now, along with not dreaming, Roronoa was also not known for his sleep talking, however that doesn't mean he didn't do it.

Sanji Blackleg had been suspicious about Zoro and his love life for a while. He really wanted to know if his rival on the ship was also his rival in the girls' affection or was he one of the few to be labelled as a true love interest? He decided to go wake the marimo bastard up and have a serious talk with him about the rumours of him (Zoro) and the beautiful archaeologist on board.
As he walked into the storage room that the bastard had last been seen entering, he heard soft whimpering and a soft, pleading voice. Sanji never turned on the light or made a noise to alert the other of his presence. Instead he strained his ears to listen to what was being said. Sanji could make out the swordsman shivering form and the voice he could tell was Zoro's. He fell into shock when he heard his name being called out.
"Sanji... Stop... Come back... I love you... Please..."
Through the little light he could see beads of sweat on the swordsman's forehead. Still in relative shock he voted against waking the man, opting to instead place his jacket over his shivering body. As he walked away he grinned to himself, 'So, the rumours weren't true. He loves me." He lit himself a victory cigarette. He could continue spoiling the girls.
At dinner that night, Sanji made sure to put a little extra effort into Zoro's plate, not like the swordsman would notice.

Zoro, in his dream, had been talking to Kuina.
It seemed so surreal that she was in front of him and alive. Kuina started walking away saying that she was sorry that she couldn't stay and goodbye. As Zoro went to run after her, he was stopped by a strong kick. "Sanji," Zoro pleaded as he struggled, his eyes following Kuina as she was slowly disappearing.
Sanji pinned him down and Zoro struggled against him, although his focus remained on Kuina. "Stop, come back," he pleaded, "I love you" he all but shouted, "please". He reached his hand out to her but she continued to disappear from sight.
He felt something wet on his face and he looked up to see his curly cook with tears in his eyes, looking down at him. The cook was mumbling and stroking his hair, but Zoro couldn't make sense of what he was saying.
Zoro slowly woke up to the smell of tobacco and spices. Immediately he was on guard, he tensed for what he sure was an oncoming attack. Realising that he was alone, he looked curiously at the jacket covering him. Shaking his head he got up and made his way to the boys' room, dumping the jacket on the cook's hammock.
That night at dinner, Zoro had no fucking clue why he got more food on his plate and he didn't know why Sanji was being so nice to him. It was almost suspicious. He came to the conclusion that Sanji was finally recognising Zoro as the greater man.
