The italics at the end indicate a quote from the series.
Percy walked across the hot, white sand of the beach until he found a spot, not to close, but not to far from the water. He set out his blue beach towel and set out a pink one next to him. He sat down and reached into his beach bag, pulling out Fruit Loops and setting Fruit Loops down on the pink towel.
"Do you need some sunscreen, dear?" Percy asked Fruit Loops while applying some on himself.
"Why yes, Percy, nothing's worse than burnt cardboard." Fruit Loops answered.
Percy squirted some sunscreen into his hand and started to rub it on Fruit Loops.
"Thank you, Percy, you're such a gentleman!" Fruit Loops flirted.
"Anytime." Percy smiled back.
The two of them got some sun for a while and when Percy couldn't stand laying still anymore, he picked up Fruit Loops and ran towards the water.
"Percy, put me down! Do you know what happens to wet cardboard?!" exclaimed Fruit Loops.
"Don't worry, I've got this!" Percy reassured as he dove underwater.
An air bubble formed around the two of them as they sank to the ocean floor. Fish and other aquatic life swam around them.
"Percy, don't scare me like that." Fruit Loops complained.
"Sorry, I just wanted to take you down here to do this." Percy said as he leaned in for a kiss.
Percy's salty lips landed on Fruit Loops' cardboard ones and it was pretty much the best underwater kiss of all time.
