Remember, Remember the fifth of November…..

"You're a fool among fools to show your face here, traitor!"

"Traitor? I don't know what you're talking about."

"Why did you let her go? You and your cursed meddling! He was ours! The Keyblade master could have been our slave!"

"Right, your big plan. You use Naminé to rewrite Sora's memory piece by piece. He becomes her puppet. Then, using Naminé and Sora, you and Larxene overthrow the Organization. Did I get it right? 'Cause that would make YOU the traitor, Marluxia. Not me."

"But you eliminated Vexen!"

"Yeah, come to think of it. So what? All I did was weed the garden. And I had to be sure you two trusted me."

"I see...a double agent. You've been investigating our conspiracy from the start."

" Moving on... I believe you ordered me to 'rid us of our traitors.'….I always follow orders, Marluxia."

He looked with disinterest down the streets of the World that Never Was, emerald eyes half closed as he waited for the person he knew to be coming. Arms crossed, he leaned against a building, tipping one leg in front of the other, and lowered his head. This was wrong. Something was wrong. He couldn't do this; he hoped the other boy knew this. It would be suicide. It would be treason.

"You can't do this; they'll come after you!"

"No one would miss me."

"…. That's not true…. I would…"

How could he feel when he had no heart? How could this happen? What was it he felt, as the blonde boy walked away from him, away from what they had, away from what they were, away from his memories and his 'life'?

"Axel!"

"Oh, so you actually remember me this time? I'm so flattered."

He felt the pang of regret, holding his chakram in tightly closed fists, a flash of regret skimming through his eyes as he stood across from the blonde in a ring of fire. It wasn't supposed to ever happen like this. They were going to find their hearts and…..

The gunpowder, treason and plot.

The order. He always followed orders. And yet as he stared coldly at the superior, he could only think 'Why did he chose me for this. Jerk.'

"I'm supposed to take you out if you don't come with me."

He knew he couldn't do it. Not to mention the other boy was stronger. Always had been. But then, he was a keyblader. The blonde had connections to his heart. While he had nothing. Nothing to remember except those brief moments….

"He made me feel whole."

I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason

Now he was committing treason himself. Directly disobeying orders. At least, it would explain the large army of nobodies in front of him and Sora. He was a traitor. He had to be taken out.

"Whew. I think I liked it better when these things were on my side."

"Feeling a little regret?"

"Nah, I can handle these punks. Watch this!"

Fighting alongside the brunette was almost like a flash to the past. And as he committed his last movement, unleashing a flurry of fire, he knew that at least, although he'd been traitorous, and although the blonde would never know of what he'd done, he'd helped. He'd kept the other half safe.

Should ever

"You're... fading away?"
"Well... that's what happens when you put your entire being into an attack. Not that nobodies actually HAVE beings, right?"

Be

"My heart just wouldn't be in it, you know? Haven't got one. But you and I are kind of alike. You and I both miss someone we care about."

Forgot

"Let's meet again, in the next life. "
"Yeah, I'll be waiting."
