Apparently it was possible to brush your hair and teeth at the same time, discovered Marinette Dupain-Cheng as she dragged her brush through her hair and smeared toothpaste all over her face in her hurry to maybe just make it to school on time. Her half-on pants bunched around her ankles, causing her to groan as she rinsed her mouth and tripped out of the bathroom and into her room. The blue haired girl shrugged on her shirt and overcoat during her attempt to shove her school books into her bag whilst her kwami did her hair. "Hurry up, Marinette!" Tikki chided, much to the frustration of her Holder. Said Holder groaned very audibly, and practically fell down the stairs. Pressing a quick kiss to each of her parent's cheeks, she ignored their eye-rolls, grabbed a croissant, and sprinted out the door.

There were exactly 3… no, now 2 minutes until class started, and with a sigh, the late girl realized that there was absolutely no way she'd make it on time. Amping up her pace, Marinette just about fell up the stairs while wiping the toothpaste from her face. Almost there, she thought.

The students of the class watched bemusedly as the door to the classroom was pushed open, and in fell the girl they expected to see. With a chuckle, the teacher continued roll call.

"Alix?"

"Here,"

"Oh, Marinette, what will it be this time?" Mde. asked with a hint of a smile on her face. Marinette flustered. She hadn't thought of an excuse.

"I-I was… I had to- Water my dog!" She stuttered out, plopping into her seat as the class burst into laugher. Nino turned around in his seat to flash her a thumbs up, and Alya patted her back. She gave her friends a sheepish grin, before refocusing her attention to the teacher.

"So as you may know, we have mid-terms coming up," She paused as the class let out a collective groan, but then smirked at her students. "But, instead of taking mid-terms, we will be doing a project! Now, you are not completely off the hook, as the project will count as 50% of your grade, 30% being homework and quizzes,10% accounting for classwork, and another 10% for projects. This project will count as a project grade, and your test grades. I will assign you partners, and a topic. It will be your job to put together and informative presentation about your project. Failure to follow the guidelines will result in a bad grade. That being said, who's ready to hear your partners?" Marinette stared at Alya, willing her teacher to pair them together.

"Max and Juleka

Kim and Alix

Mylene and Nathanel

Chloe and Ivan

Sabrina and Rose

Nino and Alya,"

Marinette's heart stopped. No, stopped would be an understatement. Her breath caught in her throat as she turned, doe-eyed, to Alya. Could this be? From the look on Chloe's face, it probably was- how was she going to pull this off?

"Adrien and Marinette."
