Working Together
Shane's bright eyes widened in concentration as she forced her focus onto what was happening… Her short hair swept over her forehead as she moved, which she swiftly pushed out the way.
Light was diffracting in through the window… Particles were being thrown round the room in the struggle. The air was electrified; nothing but Shane and Alice's hastening breathing could be heard over the constant shuffling of sheets, and the odd strain on the mattress as they worked… oh how they worked… merged as one; each knowing what the other was thinking before needing to react…
Shane's brilliant green eyes flashed through the sheets, and Alice's pace quickened. She ran her palms over the smooth surface, savouring the friction; before returning her hands to work with Shane.
Shane forced her hand inside following the creases. She slowly let out her breath she'd been holding… relaxing slightly as she withdrew… she then breathed in again; needing to exert all her strength as her hand slid back inside. She could feel her face becoming clammy under the stress, but she was almost there.
Alice joined her as she struggled slightly to maintain control. She panted slightly but as they both pulled upright, the sheets fell soundlessly and serenely back onto the bed. Shane's face loosened up, and she smiled at Alice across the bed… Alice swept the small beads of sweat from her temples then returned the gesture.
Shane flopped onto the bed, her head sinking into the pillow. "Thanks Al, you know how fucking hard it is for me to change these double duvet covers on my own."
"No problem. Anytime," she leaned across to take a sip from her coffee on the bedside table before settling on the bed herself, breathing in the sweet scent of freshly washed linen…
