[Hey howzit?! This is a story based off my playthrough of Pokemon Sun, so the only thing that pertains to me is the name of the OC and the nicknames of Pokemon. Nintendo owns the rest. Enjoy!]

As I come up to the Dimensional Research Lab, I heard a familiar voice. As i got closer I realized it was Lillie. "Go Nebby! Use… use splash!" A confused pew came from the small pokemon.

"Heh... I was just acting like I was Jae." Lillie said and she moved closer to her Pokemon. "You... you always seemed to end up getting hurt, Nebby. So I never really liked Pokemon Trainers or thought that I would want to be one myself. But when I see Jae and Hau... It's like they've thrown open some door that I always thought was closed... They stride straight through it into the future... It seems... so amazing somehow..." I was thinking about the she said when I heard Nebby pew again and come towards me.

Lillie turned around to see what Nebby was going to, and saw me. "Um, oh, Jae. Hello." She walks over seeming embarrassed.

"I feel like it's been a while since we last met. Th-there's a laboratory here that studies the dimensions, did you know. And the professor is waiting to meet you!" She smiles towards the end of her sentence and I nod.

"Yeah, professor Kukui told me to meet him here." Her smile shrinks a bit. "Oh. How... how were your trials? It must be quite trying to do three in a row."

I rub the back of my head and grin like Hau. "It was no problem." She looks at me shocked. "Goodness, really? It wasn't any trouble for you to tackle all three of Akala Island's trials?"

I chuckle and pull out a pokeball. "Well when you have Ranbow..." I open the ball and an Alolan Grimer pops out. "It was a cake walk. Or maybe around here a malasada walk."

I laugh at my own joke and Lillie giggles. "I suppose that explains it. The reason you look so content and understood by Ranbow there, I mean." She turns and walks into the lab.

Lillie's POV

"So, there is a boy..." I started to say when Prof. Burnet interrupted. "A boy? Do you mean Hau?" I shook my head. "No, his name Jae, and he recently moved here from Kanto. He really reliable. He saved Nebby, twice." Burnet chuckled, "I think he likes you." Just then Prof. Kukui and Jae arrived. Jae looked just as he had a few minutes ago. The professor still had no shirt on, I never understood that.

"Hey there, honey!" Kukui said. Burnet and I turned. "Oh, hi!" Burnet said in a motherly sort of way.

"This here's Professor Burnet. She runs the Dimensional Research Lab, yeah... And she's also my wife!" Kukui explained to Jae.

"YOU'RE MARRIED?!" Jae shouted. Burnet smiled at him. "You're Jae. right? Lillie told me about you. She said you were the reliable sort."

"She did? I'm not sure I'd call myself that." Jae rubbed the back of his head. He then asked, "So, how did you two meet Lillie?"

Burnet spoke up. "Three months ago... I found Lillie lying on a beach. Cosmog in her bag also unconscious." She then stopped and asked Kukui something. "Hm? No Hau today?"

"Hau? He's out doing his own thing. But he'll be the real deal someday... He could even become a kahuna, just like old Hala before him!" Kukui answered and not five seconds later…

"You really think so?!" Hau shouted very loudly. "Whoa-ho! Well, yeah, I really do." Kukui answered again.

"Good to see you again, Hau! It's been a while since I last saw you." Burnet told Hau. Kukui moving the show along said, "Anyhow, I brought Shady here because I wanted you to tell him about some of the mysterious phenomena here in a Alola."
