Kurt was feeling a little dizzy. He felt the liquid in his red plastic cup slosh over the rim. His hand was shaking. He closed his eyes tightly and tried to stop moving, but it was difficult. He felt one foot stumble over the other, and noticed that his back was brushing against someone else's. But after all, Blaine's kisses always made him feel a bit woozy. Through all the commotion that was surrounding them, Kurt felt completely and utterly isolated, just he and Blaine together. In the few seconds before the clock struck twelve, instead of shrieking the countdown or chugging back another drink, Blaine had grabbed Kurt around the waist and whispered those fateful words in his ear.
"Will you be my boyfriend?" Just five words had such an impact on Kurt's life.
"Yes," he breathed back. And just as 2010 changed swiftly to 2011, Blaine pressed his lips against Kurt's. As the intoxicating feeling washed over him, Kurt knew that this year was going to be his best yet. Gone were his days of being bullied; he no longer had to worry about the fear or pain that Karofsky and his friends inflicted upon him. He had Dalton, he had his father, he had his step-brother Finn and their friends from Glee, but most importantly, he had his boyfriend, Blaine.
