Warnings: Just a crap load of Sora angst and vague homicide
Pairings: Er...None really. It almost seems like Sora/Kairi at one moment Ithinkalmostmaybe but that could never happen seeing as I am a yaoi fangirl and hate vaginas anywhere near bishies.

Sometimes Sora had to look; just really look at his friends. And he would do it for seconds, minutes, hours, till the end of time. He would just look. He had to. If he didn't they might not be there if he even blinked. So he didn't blink. He just watched them all with a never ending gaze, never joining in on the fun anymore. If he did he might lose sight of one; then what would become of them? They might disappear for good. Their Hearts might be taken for good.

Sora would stare and stare until his eyes would water and swell to the point where they came out in torrents; and Kairi would ask, "What's wrong Sora?" And he would just shake his head and wipe the wetness from his face and smile at her because she was there in front of him and not gone anymore, not like before.

Sometimes Sora just couldn't go to sleep. He dreamt of Twilght Town and people that were like Pence and Hayner and Ollete but much different, and he dreamt of being Alone and Heartless, Nobodies and Darkness whenever he laid down to sleep. He would wake up and see himself with blonde hair in the mirror across the room and remember The World That Never Was and evil things and happy things and a girl with blonde hair and cry and toss in his bed until the sun rose.

Riku still taunted and teased him, like old times before everything had happened. But it wasn't old times and so Sora would just smile and take the taunts quietly. Eventually Riku began to prod into his more personal affairs, wondering why Sora had gotten so thin when all he did was sit there. Sora had told him that everything tasted like Sea-Salt Ice Cream now and Riku had laughed, slapping him on the back and telling him to get real.

He called for the Keyblade often but it never came; at night his Heart would cry out for it and he would act as though he was holding it but the Keyblade never came to him no matter how many Heartless he saw. They were always there in the dark nights, circling him and lashing at him with their claws as they ate up his body with their eyes and ripped away his Heart with their fangs. But no one would believe him. Kairi would give him worried looks and reassuring words and Riku would tell him that he had already defeated the Heartless, the Door was closed.

Neither of them noticed the dark creatures surrounding their Hearts; but Sora did. He would watch wide-eyed every day as the dark creatures burrowed through the skin and latched on to Riku and Kairi's Hearts.

That was why he took the Keyblade and closed their doors.
