Chapter 1: The Danger
Bloom's POV:
It was a normal weekend for us which meant that we were shopping. Stella wanted to buy new shoes and she dragged around Flora and Layla with her, they carried around her bags and bought nothing for themselves. The rest of us just followed along hoping that we would get a break and our wish was finally granted.
We had all settled down in a restaurant, laughing and chattering away till our hearts were content but it wasn't long before things went horribly wrong. They came with pageantry, a sort of beauty, and they were astounding. They took our breath away.
A group twice as big as ours consisting of both boys and girls. They looked different, felt different because I could feel a strange pressure radiating from them. My blood turned cold and I froze in my seat. Sweat formed on my palms and forehead and I could see from the corner of my eyes that all my friends were wide eyed in shock or fear. I was betting on fear.
They had an eerie look upon them, they were all pale. One of them had short spiky grey hair with grey eyes, and he wore a black t-shirt with blue jeans. Another one of had long white hair which was tied in a low ponytail and he was dressed in grey robes, the third one was elegantly dressed in a white suit even though he had a black Mohawk, the fourth man in their group had green hair with brown highlights and he wore dark brown hair with blue eyes and he was dressed in a black shirt and a pair of shorts, the fifth man was bald and he wore a red cloak and last but not least was a dark brunette with blue eyes dressed in casual clothes.
The girls were just as eerie and beautiful as the men. There was one with straight, shoulder length pink hair and she wore black shorts and a hot pink tank top. Another was a short, black haired girl who wore a short sleeveless blue dress. There was a strawberry blonde who wore a long sleeveless top with pink leggings. The fourth had red hair darker than mine with pink streaks in it and she too wore a pair of black shorts and a hot pink top. The fifth girl had long, white hair that came down till her knees and was tied in a low pony, she too wore a robe like the man with white hair. The last person was a girl with light green hair who wore a short brown skirt and a red crop top.
All of them seemed to have an evil kind of darkness about them, it sent chills down my back and I could not look away from there cold deadly eyes.
"Are you the winx?" A high pitched shrill voice cut through the air, yet there was some kind of beauty about it. The one who spoke was the pink haired girl.
"Yes we are." Stella replied after a few seconds.
The usual line that she exuberated confidence for was now given in a shaky voice which was trying to hide her fear.
"Where are the specialists who are normally with you?" a deep voice asked, I looked towards who spoke only to have the grey haired man stare me down.
"They are not here right now, what business do you have with us?" Layla piped up.
She has guts, I had to give it to her. Some of them smiled in reply, a smile that seemed like they stole Christmas presents from children and enjoyed listening to them cry. That smile made my bones quiver in fear. The others just stared at us bored.
"We are here to kill you, but I personally like to have fun, so shall we play a game? How about we give you a warning before hand and see how you react to it." The shrill creepy voice spoke.
"A warning?" Stella muttered.
"We shall come back soon to destroy your puny little universe. What shall you weaklings do?" the pink haired one said amused.
"We are here to kill, not play around. Let us finish these people quickly and then go find the specialists." The white haired man disputed ominously.
"Oh come on! It's no fun then! Look they are scared stiff that they can't even transform!" She argued getting annoyed.
Transform? Transform into a what? That's right a fairy, I am a bloomix fairy. I am the most powerful fairy and the keeper of the dragon flame. I should be able to fight back, I have to, but I couldn't. They were another level of fear itself and I could not transform, let alone fight them, and I'm pretty sure my friends couldn't either. If we were at our most powerful moment and they were at their weakest moment and they would still be the winners in a fight. That was the difference in our power levels.
"Like I said, let us finish this quickly and move on, they are becoming far too famous." The white haired man reinstated.
"We should eliminate them before they become an actual nuisance." The grey haired man agreed. "Also if we want to take over this universe, we must get rid of its most powerful beings. Even though, in this case, it is these weaklings."
"Fine!" The pink haired one retorted sadly.
They all looked at us closely, analysing what is the best way to kill us. The grey haired man took a step forward and I realised we have to do something, I managed to control my trebling nerves.
"Girls lets transform! We have to!" I exclaimed.
I got no reply so I looked at them from the corner of my eyes. They were all in a daze, Flora looked absolutely terrified, and Tecna was subtly typing something on her phone, hopefully sending out a SOS message.
"I have sent a message to Miss Faragonda asking for aid." Tecna whispered to us and then asses a little louder, "We should fight for as long as we can."
Tecna, the smartest one of us knew as well as I did that we would not even be able to bruise them, they seem dead serious about killing us and the specialists.
"Oh! This might be fun! If they transform then we can fight!" The pink haired exclaimed with a wide grin on her face.
"No. We should run. We won't win if we fight them." Flora spoke in a shaky voice.
I glanced at her to see something different, something I didn't notice the first time. Recognition. She recognised someone in their group. She was staring at the brunette haired man while he was doing the same. Though my mind might be playing tricks on me.
"So this is her, huh." The strawberry blonde commented in a snide condescending manner glaring at Flora.
"She is smart, at the very least." The white haired girl spoke for the first time.
"No! No! No! They cannot run away! Absolutely not! It shall ruin all my fun!" The most talkative one of them countered. The pink haired girl.
"We need to fight. They are extremely dangerous and we must protect the citizens." I tell the winx.
"Trust me! We shouldn't, we should try and escape, and they will probably not attack the citizens." Flora reasoned.
Flora is a pacifist but she was never one to run from danger or an enemy before. I glanced at her and it was pretty clear what I saw in her eyes. Fear. The irrational fear that I felt too, but her fear showed something else. Her fear showed recognition, she knew these people. But how could that be possible? How could she know one of these creatures? And there seemed to be a bigger problem. I could barely move, how are we supposed to escape.
"You can try to run, but you won't get far." The blonde girl stated as a matter of fact
"Do not underestimate them." The brown haired man finally spoke up.
"But they are weak! And it is quite clear that we can beat them without even trying." The pink haired girl yelled back losing her patience.
Suddenly a flash of light appeared in front of us and when it was gone, Miss Faragonda was standing there with a staff in hand.
"You have spoken to my students long enough." She stated and hit her staff to the ground.
There was the same bright light again and I covered my eyes. When I finally opened them we were in her office. Miss. Faragonda seemed tensed and I could only imagine why. I looked around to see the other girls standing nearby dazed, Flora looked like she had seen a ghost. I turned back to see Miss Faragonda with nothing but sympathy and understanding in her eyes.
"It seems I have a lot of explaining to do as to what just happened now." Miss Faragonda started.
This seemed to bring the girls back to reality, we all looked at her.
"What just happened?" I asked her, the fear still evident in my voice.
A strange light appeared behind us and we all, except Miss Faragonda, jumped up in surprise. We turned around to see Professor Saladin and the specialists. I let out a sigh of relief not having realised I was holding my breath. The specialists looked confused and we all turned to Miss Faragonda while Professor Saladin walked up to her.
"What's going on?" Sky asked clearly confused as he walked up to me.
All the specialists walked up to the specific girlfriends while Brandon and Sky put their arms around Stella and I. Riven kept his distance from Musa probably still pissed from their last fight, Layla and Nabu held hands so did Helia and Flora.
"The girls were almost attacked today." Miss Faragonda stated as the specialists looked at us surprised and started to ask a series of questions not giving any time for them to be answered.
The girls looked at me so I recounted the encounter in detail to everyone. When I was done Miss Faragonda and Professor Saladin exchanged a knowing glance which was also filled with worry.
"They are the most enemies you have ever faced." Professor Saladin spoke. "Neither Valtor, nor the Trix, or any of the enemies you have faced before can be compared to how powerful evil they are. They go by many names, there most common being known as the Slayers, they are the truest form of evil you have seen and shall ever see."
"They have come to kill you which basically is that they shall not stop till you are dead, and at your current level you cannot fight them." Miss Faragonda continued. "And they have the exact amount of people required to kill each of you both the specialists and the winx. So the only way to defend yourselves is to go for training. Far away in another universe, the universe that they come from."
"TRAINING?!" We all exclaimed.
"Yes training, that's the only way to defend yourselves. I have asked one of the leaders of the other universe to get someone to train you and they are giving you one of the best instructors, he will be here in two hours to you up. You must all pack quickly." Miss Faragonda told us.
"Wait Ms.F this is all too confusing. Where are we going? What is this other universe? This is all going way too fast." I told her.
"I know this must be hard for you children, but pack quickly, there are other universes apart from our own, he shall be here soon and he will explain the rest to you." She tried to comfort us.
"It's not possible!" Stella exclaimed.
"What's wrong Stella?" I asked surprised by her sudden outburst.
"Only two hours to pack?! That's not enough time!" Stella screamed.
We all laughed, that cheered me up, but I was scared of what was going to happen, would this training actually help us? Will we be able to fight against those powerful creatures of darkness?
