Willow stared at the computer screen that laid in front of her for what
seemed forever. She just could not find what she was looking for. Which
was, of course, for information about the new local Baddie in town, which
none of the Scoobsters had seen, only heard by some of the local snoops.
Willow sighed slightly and rested on her elbows, as she endlessly clicked
away on her mouse.
Giles looked up from a book after hearing her sigh, and it slowly dawned on him that she had been at it for about 5 hours, without a peep from her. "Willow? I think you've done enough tonight. You go on home and get some rest. Be back here at 3 o'clock. Oh, by the way, did you find anything of use on the 'Net?"
Willow looked up from the portable laptop and yawned sleepily. Willow shook her head. "Not yet. Maybe tomorrow I'll have some luck. Oh, and Giles." Willow got up from her chair, and went over to where Giles was and gave him a big bear hug, "Thanks for everything. For helping me try to overcome my addiction, and coming back with me. You were one of the main reasons that I didn't end the world, along with Xander being the second main reason, because had you not."
Giles cut her off by putting a finger to her mouth. "I know, Willow. I know. Plus, you've already said 'thank you' about a million times. You can stop saying it now.'
Willow hugged him again. "Not enough though..I missed you Giles. I really did. Especially when I didn't get the hairy eyeball from you everyday."
Chuckling softly, Giles answered, "I missed you too, and everyone else as well," Giles returned the hug, and kissed her softly on her forehead, "See you tomorrow, Willow."
Willow smiled, gathered up her stuff, and left his apartment, which was his old one as before because no one had bought it yet.
Giles sat back down on the chair, and started to think of Willow's future.
He knew her destiny. The witches had told who she would love forever and ever, her career choice, and her husband-to-be. He just hoped it wasn't too late.
Willow left Giles apartment, locking the door on her way out. Willow sighed again and walked out to the curb, where sat her new silver Ford Escort SE, waiting to be turned on and driven.
Willow got into her car, and started it up. Willow started driving, but not to her home, which was currently Buffy's house, which she shared with Buffy and Dawn, but onwards until she passed the city limits of Sunnydale.
