"Draco, Draco," a body-less voice whispered.

The fair-haired boy didn't stir. He lay, motionless, still, unmoving. His dark robes were messily spread about.

"Draco," the voice called again. It wasn't a scary voice by any means. There was no undertone of malice. The voice was the complete opposite in some ways. Soothing, calming. It was a child's voice, like a distant memory. Something that happened years ago and remained half-forgotten.

The fifth-year Slytherin still remained unmoving. His eyes were only semi-closed; if there were more light, one may be able to see the still grey that lay beneath thin, butterfly lashes.

"Draco," the cool stone beneath, and all around Draco echoed the voice. His stiff limbs didn't shake. The only tell-tale sign of his life was the gentle up and down motion of his chest.

Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley were travelling the well-known path to the kitchens. They made slow progress, as they were under the invisibility cloak. Hermione was in the lead, being the know-it-all she is. The halls echoed with the sounds of their feet. They weren't worried about Filch, because someone (Peeves!) had played a prank on him causing him to fall down two flights of Hogwarts stairs. Filch, being the arrogant person that he is, refused all magical medication and had to spend a week in the Hogwarts. Although if Mrs. Norris found you and told Filch you'd still be in real trouble… hence the invisibility cloak.

Soon, the Gryffindor trio were in front of the painting. After tickling the pear, distracting the house elves, and finally getting food, Ron, Hermione and Harry made their way back through the tower. This time, Ron was leading and they ended up in a forgotten corridor on the fourth floor.

"Where are we, Ron?" Hermione asked, prepared to scream at him.

"I'm not sure," he replied. "Sorry."

"That's okay, Ron," Harry said, trying to stop the fight before it happened. If Mrs. Norris saw them, she'd tell Filch. Maybe Filch thought he was a squib, but he sure could talk to cats.

The three stumbled forward, not wanting to use their wands to attract the attention of the teachers. Hermione's thinking had gotten to them. It probably was worse to be expelled rather than killed.

"Oomph!" Ron exclaimed, tripping over something and bringing Harry and Hermione down with him.

As the three scrambled up, Harry noticed what they had tripped over. Pulling the cloak off his head, he looked at the lifeless body on the floor. Harry pulled out his wand. "Lumos" The bright light illuminated the cold hallway.

"Malfoy!" Ron exclaimed. The blonde was lying still on the floor. Apart from the fact that he was unconscious, he looked perfectly healthy.

"He doesn't look too good," Hermione said, kneeling beside him.

"I hope we didn't knock him out," Harry said, kneeling beside Hermione. Hermione conjured a magical stretcher from nowhere and the group of four headed for the Hospital wing.
