Nothing But a Heartache

Disclaimer: Don't own, don't own, don't own.

Author's Note: This is another of the favorate stories I've written. Branching out from my usually Shawn/Hunter pairing for once. Normally, John/Randy doesn't really fit my taste but this one just jumped out of my head and seemed to work. Hope you enjoy.

John Cena was as happy as he could be. It was time for Summerslam, a joint Pay Per View between RAW and Smackdown. That ment that John would be able to see his lover on RAW, Randy Orton. After talking to the lady at the front desk, he knew that Randy was already in their room. Slidding his keycard into the slot in the door, John unlocked it and walked inside, ready to greet his lover. He wasn't there.

"Randy?" he called. "Randy?" he heard a noise from the bathroom and gasped at the sight before him. Randy was crouched on the floor, sobbing. In one hand he held a pocket knife and the other was empty except the blood that poured over it from the wound in his wrist. Only one thought ran through John's mind, Randy was trying to kill himself. He was spurred into action. John ran to him, grabbing the knife and Randy's other arm in one swift movement. He threw the knife into the sink and turned Randy to face him.

"Randy, God why? WHy would you do this to yourself?" there were tears on his face now as well. John shook him and Randy came to himself.

"John?" he was confused and he felt cold and lightheaded.

"Yeah Baby, I'm here. Randy? Why in the hell would you try to kill yourself?" he asked, trying to stop the profuse bleeding.

"I thought...I thought you didn't want me anymore." he shivered and closed his eyes.

"What are you talking about Babe?" John was shocked. Why, how could Randy think that when he loved him more than anything?

"K...Kurt." Randy stuttered, opening his eyes to look at John. "He t..told me that y..you told him to tell m...e you didn't w..want me anymore." John was taken aback. Then he became angry. Randy had almost died because of Kurt's little game. If he hadn't gotten here when he did...John didn't even wanna think of the consequences. He would be paying Kurt a little visit later but right now he needed to reassure his lover.

"Randy... Love, I never, ever said that. I love you so much and I always will."

"But why would...?" John answered the unfinished question.

"Kurt wants you for himself Randy. I guess he didn't realized you'd take it this badly. I'll have to make it clear to him that you're forever mine." John pulled Randy shakily to his feet.

"Come 'ere Babe." he said, pulling Randy into his arms for a hug. "let's get ya cleaned up huh?" John gently washed and bandaged the wound, reassuring Randy of his love as he did. Then he helped Randy out of his bloodstained clothes, and into bed. He sat on the edge, running his hands over Randy's short hair.

"Randy, Baby?" John said, moving to lay beside him.

"Hmmmm?"

"I promise you I will never never leave you. I love you more than you know and I always will."

"Really? Never's a pretty long time." Randy said, uncertainly.

"Yea Randy. I love you with all my heart, soul, body, and mind. Nothing will ever tear us apart."

"So do I." Randy's face went dark. "That's why I did what I did. I couldn't bare the thought of losing you. You mean too much to me, you mean everything."

"I know Rand, I know. I probably woulda done the same. If..if I hadn'ta gotten here in time, I woulda followed you." Then his face broke into a smile. "But don't you ever scare me like that again. You'll give me grays before my time." Randy laughed.

"I won't John. Wouldn't wanna screw up the do." John smacked him on his uninjured arm with a snort.

"Get some rest now Babe, you need it after all of that." Randy nodded and curled up against John, a peaceful smile on his face.

END!
