Summary: The Yuna he knew was gone. For the better.
The first time it happened had been the night of his return, when Besaid didn't sleep in celebration. The fire had been kept going all night and they both had slipped off unnoticed some time after midnight. She led him to the chamber in the old temple, her current residence, and showed him exactly how much she had missed him. He had touched her that night, in a way that she had never been touched before. With trembeling hands, they were both undone.
The second time it happened had been the night after, when Rikku and Paine left again with the promise of a visit in a few days. He was gentle, too gentle and she was frustrated. She didn't want the caresses or the butterfly kisses. She didn't want the shaking hands as he touched her naked body. She wanted raw passion, raw emotion and raw need. He didn't understand though and he finished alone with her audibly fake whimpers and moans as his only company.
The third time it happened had been instigated by her for the first time and she made him promise that he wouldn't move, wouldn't touch. He was shocked. What happened to the Yuna he knew? And as she cried out, she told him.
"She's gone! She's not coming back!"
It didn't happen again for another week. He was still coming to terms with the fact that the girl he had loved was now a woman. What scared him most was that she knew what she wanted. She came to him early that morning with tea and breakfast on a tray. She explained it to him, what he had missed and what he would never see.
Weakness.
"I'm not that girl anymore Tidus. She's been gone for two years."
That morning, it was passionate and she remembers every little detail, of how his mouth sought out her throat and how her little whimpers made him aggressive and dominant. This was what she had been wanting, needing.
Tidus understood. He took her there on the bare floor and watched as her back arched in pure ecxtasy.
The Yuna he knew was officially gone, that was for sure.
But this Yuna was far better.
