The Corner
My corner keeps me safe at night,
away from all hell.
And my tears shield my eyes,
from seeing your face.
Though my body keeps trembling,
I dream that I'm in your arms.
My heart reaches out to you,
grasping the memories we've shared.
When I sit in my room,
I can't help but wish we could be together.
Can't you just hold me,
and let my dreams come to life?
Can't I just love you with all my heart,
and you love me with yours?
For now these are my dreams.
In my corner so lonely and dark,
these are my thoughts and memories,
that keep me safe at night.
