Lumberjane invades the Hundred Acre Wood
Once upon a time, Christopher Robin lived happily with his silly Pooh Bear and friends in the Hundred Acre Wood. However, he and his family decided to go on vacation this year, and would be out of town for an entire two weeks. Meanwhile, unwelcome visitors decided to take advantage of his absence from the Hundred Acre Wood.
The first time the gang of friends became aware of these visitors was on a lazy Sunday as they were having tea and honey at Pooh's house. There was a strange noise, as if an animal were growling loudly.
"Wha-Wha- What's that?" whimpered Piglet.
"Hmmm…. Perhaps it is my tummy. I am rather hungry," offered Pooh Bear as he helped himself to a few cookies.
Yet the noise continued, and it was obvious that it had come from a source other than the hungry bear's stomach.
"Let's go have a look-see," said Tigger, in a brave voice. "I'm not scared of any heffalumps or woosles."
"I am!" shrieked Piglet, as he quickly dodged under the table.
"Now, now, get ahold of yourselves!" commanded Rabbit. There is no such thing as a heffalump or woosle. I am sure there is a perfectly logical explanation for this. Stay calm and we can investigate."
"That's what I said!" chimed Tigger. "We need to do some investimagating! Now everybody follow me, and don't blow our cover."
So the friends quickly went outside and collected some large hosta leaves from Rabbit's garden to use for cover. They each appeared to be large plants that would move quickly, stop, move, stop, move, stop. Until finally they were close to the strange, scary sound.
"That's not Christopher Robin!" whispered Pooh bear.
"No but it's a somebody the same species as Christopher Robin, only bigger," reasoned Tigger.
"Oh dear!" cried Piglet.
"I'd like to know what they are doing in our woods," demanded Rabbit.
Then they saw it- this someone was holding up a large, shiny chainsaw- and she was holding it up to one of their trees!
"This is unacceptibable!" exclaimed Tigger, who quickly came out of his cover and confronted the lumberjack, I mean lumberjane, who was about to cut down a beautiful tree.
"Now you listen to me," he continued, "this is our Hundred Acre Wood and we don't want the likes of you stealing trees from it!"
The lumberjane was quite shocked to see this tiger-like animal in the woods, and reacted with a jump. She then got in her vehicle and drove away, calling the zoo as she did to report an escaped tiger.
The animals all rejoiced as they thought this would be the last of the unwelcome visitors in their woods. Little did they know, it was only the beginning.
