Author's Note: Just a oneshot I thought of yesterday night... Hope you enjoy

This moment

She was happy. She was incredibly happy, just lying on his couch with her head in his lap. Her head was turned towards the television, but she wasn't really watching. She was thinking about how happy she was, just lying there with Danny, his hands fumbling with her hair. She smiled and turned her head so she looked up to his face. He had been staring at her all along, and smiled when her eyes met his.

"What?" he asked softly.

"Nothing," she answered, closing her eyes for a few seconds. When she opened them again she saw he was still smiling. "I'm just happy."

"Me too," he told her, his voice still soft, "me too."

Lindsay turned her face to the television again. Danny continued watching her and fumbling with her hair. To him, this moment was perfect. He loved moments like this, when they were doing nothing. Talking, working and kissing with her was wonderful, but doing nothing with her was one of his favorite pastimes.
He loved everything about her: the way she moved around the lab, the way she talked to him, how she blushed when he caught her staring at him, how she smirked when she caught him staring at her… He loved the way she kissed him, and how she looked so peaceful when she slept. He loved the way she felt against him, and how soft her skin was. He loved her. And she loved him too. They hadn't said the words yet, but they knew it. And Danny thought it was time to finally tell her.

"Lindsay?"

"Hmmm?"

She was starting to fall asleep, he could tell. He caressed her hair.

"Montana,"

"Yeah?"

She now shifted her body so she was lying on her back, facing Danny. He smiled at her again, and she returned the gesture.

"I love you."

Her smile widened and she put her arms around his neck to decrease the distance between them and kissed him.

"I love you too."

After these two admittances they went back to their original positions. Lindsay smiled and wondered what she had done to deserve this man. But whatever it was, she sure as hell was so happy she'd done it.

The end
