When Mr. Darcy is angry, you can imagine it's a fearsome sight to behold. This is just after Wickham attempts to elope with Georgiana, or Lydia, I don't know which.
Anger
A scowl graces his features. Never has such an expression been seen on his face. And angry, ugly, murderous scowl, which would frighten anybody. His voice is low as it passes judgement. It's a deep tone, quiet and, on paper, calm. But there is nothing calm about it now. It chills you to the bone, and makes you wonder if you will ever see anything after he stops talking. For when he stops, what will he do then? There is a glint in his eye which hints at something you could not wish to imagine.
His hand quivers, but is indecisive. Where should it go, to the handle of his sword? Or should the murder be more direct? For it would be murder. With such a look in a calm man's eyes, there is no doubt that he would consider such a horrific event. And such a man, when he is angry, he is one to be feared. When he looks at you with such a loathing, you know that you will not escape his fury, and then you have no chance of surviving anything.
Then his voice raises, and he begins to shout, and the very volume of that shouting is enough to stop your heart.
When he is angry, he is unrecognisable. But to get him angry, you deserve to face him.
