Thunder Kids
The legend of the Thunder Kids is one beyond belief. It all started when four kids named Rachel, Taylor, Alex, and Stephanie were playing outside. Rachel being the oldest got all three to agree to try to beat the rain before they end thier volleyball game in the streets. So thier vollyball game continued, even as the sky grew dark, even as the clock struck 8:30. As they saw approching rain they played faster. Then suddenly a roll of the thunder and a flash a lighting. All the witnesses heard were three loud female screams, and a male yell "Help.".
They were gone. No one ever saw the kids again, and no one lived in that house again until this day. A wife with two kids named Ray and Mariah, were the husband was I do not know. The mother, Cindy was told the story but like many she didnt believe it. She called it foolish. "How can four children diseappear by thunder and lightning." She had said. Her children were fasinated by the story. Both were starting to believe it, do to the fact that as soon as they moved in it would rain at 8:30, only. But what they saw next was unbelievable!
The two kids had heard they're mothers call that dinner was ready and were heading down the hall to the kitchen when they heard laughter. They quietly snuck towards the empty room that would become thier moms office. They looked around the corner and saw four kids. They were all holding X-box controllers and were beating the buttons furiously, concentration set on thier faces. Ray looked closer and saw the girl with the dirty blond hair look at him out of the corner of her eye. She turned to him and laughed. Just when she laughed she diseapeared along with all the other kids. Ray was astonded. He walked from out of the hall into the room and saw no X-box, no X-box controllers, no nothing. Just a white wall. Mariah screamed and buried her face in Ray shirt. He held her tightly. Thier mother came running hearing the loud scream of her daughter. They told thier mother what they saw but she didnt believe one word of it. That night the rain beat on the windows making it sound like the drums of hadeas welcoming them to his world. Ray couldnt sleep, the memory of the girls laugh was stuck in his mind and it scared him. He sat up in bed and snuck to the kitchen. Mariah was out on the couch sobbing. Ray ran to his baby sister. "Mariah whats wrong?" he asked her, astonded at the sound of his voice. "I saw them, I saw her." said Mariah, tears forming again in her eyes. "Saw who?" Ray asked her, frightened. "She calls herself Taylor, she was the ghost that laughed at you. She said to watch the street at 8:30. Thats what I'm doing. Im just to scared to watch." Mariah replied, snuggling up to Ray. "I'll watch." Ray told her getting up off the couch and walking to the window. When the clock struck 8:30 he looked to the street anxiously, but frightened. He saw the form of four kids playing volleyball on the street laughing and having a good time. Then they stopped, looked at Ray and then when the lightning flashed and the thunder rolled they screamed in agony and pain. They were ript to pieces, thier insides flying everywhere but when inches from the ground they vanished in a puff of smoke. "So this is what happened to them, what are they trying to tell us?" Ray thought.
