The Accident
Tino looked up. And up. The giant looming over him stared back down at him-or, at least, he assumed he was; the glare of sun on his glasses made it difficult to tell.
In one smooth movement Tino found emotionless blue eyes boring into his own, the tall man now crouched down in front of him. A small frightened squeak escaped Tino as the brute reached for him, his expression comparable to something tiny and fluffy finally cornered by a predator.
"Y're bleedin' "
Tino almost lurched away from the large hands pawing at his own. The emotionless stare prevented him from attempting an escape, but as his hands, tiny and delicate in comparison to the large ones now encompassing his own, were carefully flipped over he realized that yes; they were bleeding.
" 'M sorry"
"O-oh! Um, that's ok! I'm fine really, it was just an accident!" Tino nervously laughed.
"You're hurt."
The large hands now grasped his back and under his knees, and before he could even whimper he was being carried against a strong chest.
"W-what? Put me down, I'm fine!" his flailing was met by an unintelligible grunt and a steady gaze.
"G'na help clean y' up." Well that seemed to settle that.
They were met by odd stares from the park's other patriots, an old lady pausing mid throw as she fed ducks by the pond. A huge, lumbering man carrying one barely half his size.
Tino tried to hide his burning face-why did he have to run, literally, into this apparently gentle giant?
" 'm Berwald."
"…Tino."
