I do not own Naruto...if I did I would be with Kakashi...
In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes
A young woman watched as a child no older than two ran around the small yard that was in front of a modest one story house. The little girl ran around without fear, a true free spirit. Her mother watched as she fell down softly and then got right back up, a trait Kakashi said that she got from her mother. The mother's face had a serene look when she remembered the day her child had been born.
In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes
It had been one of the longest days of her life, her child had not wanted to come out. She should have known that her daughter would be stubborn, a trait she got from her father. Yet when the little had been born and she looked at her, she knew that nothing else could ever be as important to her as the little helpless girl in her arms. Nothing could ever hurt her, for all she cared about was protecting the little girl. Even the rumors that had spread like wild fire when she had chosen to marry her sensei, a man fourteen years her elder, no, nothing mattered anymore, besides the little girl in her arms.
And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about
"Come on, sweetie, its time for dinner" she said to the girl
"Alright mommy" she said happily
"When will daddy be coming home?" she asked after she had been tucked into bed
"Soon, very soon" Sakura told her daughter, who had already started to fall asleep
"Goody" her daughter sighed
"Goodnight" she said before leaving the room
It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes
It was always tough when Kakashi left for missions. Sometimes she felt like part of her heart was being ripped out, yet when she looked into her daughter's eyes, the eyes of her father, it became easier to bare. She felt weak, crying over her husband's departure, like some little girl who needed someone to hold her hand. She had never been the strongest, yet when she looked into her daughter's eyes, she felt like she was a super hero. She felt like she could take on the world, and win. She knew her daughter was really a gift from Kami.
In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes
She went to sleep around nine, a few minutes after her daughter. About two in the morning she heard a door open and a warm arm drape around her waist.
"Kakashi" she murmered
"Hai, Sakura" he said before he leaned down to kiss her warm mouth.
"I missed you" she said when the kiss broke
"As did I" he said before sleep overtook him
Still awake thirty minutes after Kakashi had fallen asleep, Sakura laid in bed, thinking of her life. For so many years she had had no direction, no purpose. Now she had a wonderful husband who made her feel beautiful when for so long she had felt ugly, and a daughter who made her feel like she could move mountains. In her daughters eyes she could she everything she was not, everything that she could never be, and everything her daughter could be. She now had purpose in life, something only the man laying next to her and the little girl down the hall could give her. She now knew what life was about, and she saw it all in her daughters eyes.
