Disclamier: I do not own anything created by J. K. Rowling, this is simply for fun.

Twist Of Skin

sometimes I wonder where you go

and I listen slowly silent closely

for those steps to echo in the halls

but the weather here is loud tonight

and the daybreak is far from my sight

who knows where the whistle wind blows

in the twists and turnings of the scarecrow

quiet now as only they know how

leaves drift across my windowpane

listening in on conversation mundane

without warning the worker's bell rung

sending a message to the serpent's tower struck

scales are shifting by the hour

no longer trapped in the ones they devour

are you too late to stop from sliding

into the plot that the writer is hiding

where do you step that is so needed

when not even your words are heeded

too late now I've seen the truth

too late for all of us we've been poisoned too

that bite has stung I won't deny

even when loyal feelings I try to hide

it's gone on too long to stop just yet

remember the price- begin the bet
