Hello, everyone and anyone who is reading this. I'm pretty sure no one knows I exist yet. I am a budding writer and a major procrastinator. Anyways, on with the comment...

This is my absolute first fiction that I published, but I have written others. This is just the only one that is complete and worthy of posting. This story was mainly practice and turned out kinda iffy, but I really like the ending and it's a cute sappy story about how Tezuka and Fuji got together. It's really short. It's like, almost 500 words.

Tezuka is really out of character here, but I think anyone confessing their love for someone would be emotional and different than usual, ne?

"Fuji…" Tezuka looked up at his friend.

"Tezuka?" the brown haired youth responded.

"Fuji, I… I…" the normally reserved captain stuttered out.

"Tezuka, what's wrong? You never stutter, just spit it out, I won't laugh." Tezuka wasn't so sure. He had seen the tensai interact with girls easily and even go on a few dates. He was almost positive Fuji wouldn't be interested.

"Fuji… what do you make of our friendship?" This wasn't really what he wanted to ask, but he hoped it would lead him to where he wanted to go.

"Our friendship? Well, you're my best friend I suppose. Why do you ask?" Fuji said in a casual voice. He had no idea of the gravity of the situation to his friend.

"Fuji… Is that all you think of me? Is that all I am to you?"

Tezuka's heart pounded. He knew Fuji would get the hint now. He watched Fuji's eyes snap open and his perfectly shaped lips part slightly.

"Te-Tezuka… Wh-what…?" Fuji tried to speak. He failed.

"Never mind. I knew you wouldn't be interested…" He muttered and turned his back on the person he loved. He took only a few paces before he heard a sob behind him and felt arms wrapping around his middle.

"Oh, Tezuka… I had no idea… I'm so sorry, I truly am." A soft voice sounded, muffled by the back of Tezuka's jersey.

"Fuji…?" the bewildered captain asked as he spun around to hold the shorter teen in his arms. "Fuji…" he whispered into the velvety hair. Sobs still muffled by the cloth of Tezuka's jacket, Fuji clung to the tall captain.

"T-Te-Tezuka… I never knew… I'm so sorry…" He whispered into the tear-soaked jersey.

"Why? Why are you sorry? What did you ever do, Fuji?"

"I… I love you too, Tezuka…" Fuji whispered in the softest voice possible, but it was a ringing bell to Tezuka's ears. "We could have had so much time together… I'm so sorry."

Tezuka had waited years for this moment, years for those words to be spoken by this person, years for his heart to swell like this, years to hold onto this epitome of perfection. He had waited years for this and he wasn't ever going to let go.

"Fuji… I'll never leave your side. I'll never make you cry again. I promise." He breathed into his new lover's ear.

"You promise?" Fuji looked up at him with a tear-stained face, "I've held this in for years. I don't even know when I started loving you… It just happened… I don't want you to leave, ever."

"Of course I promise, my love." He tightened his hold on the slender body. "I am yours to keep." He brought his hand underneath Fuji's chin and lifted the flawless mouth up to meet his in a light kiss.

"Forever…"
