"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to Luna! Happy birthday to you!"
Luna blew out the 16 candles on her birthday cake as quickly as she could. She then smiled.
"Happy 16th birthday, Luna!" Her sister, Star, patted her on the back. She then
skipped herself to a chair and grabbed a plate. Angel, their mother, started to
cut the cake. "After this, we'll go through your presents," she mentioned as she
handed each girl a slice. She then looked at Star and smiled; today was a special
day for Luna. As the two girls ate their cake, they talked about their day.
"My day was amazing! I was at the library catching up on some literature.
I do have to say, I read the best book ever! It's called Frothom in the Ice, by H.G. Blarret."
Luna chimed happily. "Oh! Is that the book where the protagonists' underwater
palace gets frozen by ice, and they have to find a way out?" Angel asked her daughter.
"Mm-hmm! That's the one," she responded, happy that her mother knew what she was
talking about. "I'll have to give that a try. I have yet to read it," Star snorted.
"Pssh, everyone knows you don't read," Luna grabbed a piece of icing and flung it
at her with her spork. "HEY!" Star frowned at her sister's childish behavior as she
wiped the icing off her shirt. Angel laughed, "so how was your day, Star?"
She shrugged, "Same as usual. I did some pet-sitting today, that's about it.
We should really think about getting a pet. Hint hint." She glanced over towards her mother.
"Yes! We should! Can we mom, can we?!" Luna grinned at just looked at
her two daughters, as she gave in. "..Alright."

(Later that day)

"So what's my big present, mom?" Luna asked as she stepped upstairs to the attic.
Her mother and Star were following behind her. "You'll see, dear," her mother replied.
When they all were upstairs, Luna looked around. "There's nothing but boxes! Where is it?"
She whined. "Over here," Angel brought them to a mirror with a red sheet over it.
She motioned for her to take the sheet off. Luna did as so; it was an ordinary mirror,
other than the fact it was a bit old-looking. She got confused. Seeing her confusement,
Star walked straight into the mirror and vanished! Luna's eyes widened as she backed
away from it. She didn't know what to think. Angel laughed lightly, "No need to be afraid,
you're present is soon to be here," she gently pushed Luna in, then followed suit.

Once Luna opened her eyes on the other side, it was a whole 'nother world.
Filled with.. people, but with wings?!
"Welcome to the world of Fairyville, Luna!"
