A/N: I know I probably shouldn't be starting anymore stories, but this is going to be one-shot, and anyways I just felt like writing this. If you like it, please review, it motivates me to write and if I get reviews that say for me to write more, I will do a bunch of Thranduil/Legolas oneshots. Enjoy!

Ada and Ion: Righting Wrongs

''Fighting, Legolas?''

The eight-year-old elfling hung his head, staring at his feet as he shifted uncomfortably. "Yes, adar."

Thranduil stood up and began to pace around his study. "You know to fight is unforgivable." He said sternly.

Legolas had started a squabble with another of the trainee warriors. "He said that I was a spoiled brat who would never be able to look after myself." Legolas replied scathingly, licking his spilt lip.

"And that was very wrong of him, I agree. But that was no excuse to hit him! You and I have a reputation to uphold, you know that!" Thranduil retaliated, his voice getting gradually louder and more feirce as he spoke.

Legolas mumbled something under his breath.

"What did you say?" The King of Mirkwood yelled at his son.

"NOTHING!" Legolas bellowed back.

"Go to your room NOW you insolent child, there will be no dinner for you! I'll come and give you your punishment later!"

"FINE!" Legolas stormed out, slamming the door behind him a little harder than he intended, and ran off to his room, slamming that door to.

He stomped around his room for a while, kicking things. What he really wanted to do was to cry, but he was far to old for crying even to do it in the privacy of his own chambers.

OoOoOoOoOoOoO

Thranduil was feeling awful about being so harsh with Legolas. He would have done the same thing had he been in his son's position, after all. He went to the young prince's room, and knocked cautiously.

"Come in."

Legolas was laying on the bed when his father entered the room.

"I'm sorry." They both said instantainiously.

"You have no reason to be sorry, Legolas. You did what anyone would have done." Thranduil began.

"You have no reason to apoligize, adar. You were just punishing me for something I did wrong." Legolas continued.

"I was to hard on you."

"I was to curt with you."

"I shouldn't have lost my temper."

"I shouldn't have lost mine."

They both sighed.

"Let's forget this whole thing happened, alright?"

Legolas nodded.

"Supper is over, but I'll go to the kitchens and get us both something to eat." Thranduil said, getting up.

Legolas hugged him. "Amin mela le, ada." He said happily.

"Amin mela le, ion-nin, amin mela le."

OoOoOoOoOoOoO

Amin mela le- I love you

Adar- father

Ada- short for father, more informal, kind of like 'dad'

Ion-nin- my son
