(A/N: This was written a few days ago when I really wanted a snow day. We didn't have one. This is probably out of character, but oh well. Enjoy!)
The Snowy Day
Natalie looks so peaceful and calm staring out the window that Henry doesn't want to disturb her. "Natalie?" he says quietly.
"Hmm?" Natalie mumbles, not looking away from the window.
"C'mon, we have to get to our next class." He begins gathering Natalie's books from her desk, and thinks well, this is a switch. Usually Natalie's the one dragging me to our next class.
"But…it's snowing, Henry!" She smiles wistfully, and Henry can't help but smile back.
"Yep. That's what happens during the winter. C'mon."
"I love the snow, don't you?" Natalie asks dreamily, not moving from the window.
"Yeah. It's great." Henry actually hates snow, but it's fun to see Natalie so excited about it. Just not when they have to go to class. "Let's go."
"Fine." She looks at the snow one more time, then stands up. "But Henry?"
"Yeah?"
"We're making a snowman after school."
