Author's Notes: I'm a big shipper of Crutchy slash (anyone noticed yet? lol). While the David/Crutchy story I'm working on has hit a few bumps, I thought I'd write this ^^ It's a cute couple. Has anyone noticed I've been experimenting with my writing style lately? :d I'm doing it again. Thank you to Vinyl, who read this first :D
Sometimes and Everytimes

Sometimes they joke that if you put them together, you would get the perfect pirate. Kid Blink with his eye-patch and Crutchy with his crutch that resembles a wooden leg, it would be a pirate to rival Blackbeard, Bluebeard, and Captain Hook, they say. It's a joke that everyone shares. They often have jokes like these with the newsies, inside jokes that no one else, not even Kloppman, would understand.
Sometimes they share a kiss. At these times, no matter where they are, whether it be in the bunkroom or the balconies at Irving Hall, they're usually alone. It's not a question of acceptance among the newsies; they all know about the relationship and don't mind it. Still, comfortable as the others say they are, the two are embarrassed to show such affection in front of them.
Sometimes they wake up next to each other under the covers of Crutchy's bottom bunk, because he is too frail to climb up to Kid Blink's top bed. Blink has told him many times that he wouldn't mind carrying him in his arms or on his back, but Crutchy refuses to impose such a task on his lover. They spend these nights in a tangle of limps and a flurry of kisses, sending pleas that the morning will not come skyward. It's inevitable, of course, and they know their prayers are useless, but still, they see no harm in testing their luck.
Sometimes, even among the inside jokes, innocent kisses, and idyllic nights, there's sorrow, too. Of course, they're human, so how can there not be? But they refuse to dwell on heartache. Instead, they move past it, using the experiences and packing away the pain to make themselves and their bond stronger. They refuse to be torn apart by any force, even if the crisis is within them. They are dedicated to each other, even if they don't always put it in words.
But sometimes they tell each other "I love you", and everytime they mean it.
