EPOV
I sat next to Bella in the hospital, holding her hand. We had gotten married exactly one year ago, and she had just given birth to our son. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the delivery. The doctor says that the chances of her surviving are very slim. I lean my head over hers, and place a soft kiss on her fore head. I sit back and close my eyes, letting the tears fall. I pick up my guitar, and play the song I had written earlier that day.
Johnny's daddy was
Taking him fishing when
He was eight years old
A little girl came
Through the front gate,

I remember I used to love fishing with my dad, and how I never wanted her to come on that trip.
His dad looked down
And smiled said, "We

I remember wanting her to come with us after I turned ten.

I had begged my father not to bring Bella. Of course he didn't listen to me.

I had done everything I could think of to make sure I didn't lose her.

I had prayed for hours on end that she be okay, but I don't think I've been heard.

I ended the song there, wishing to go back and have more time with her. I set the guitar down and lay my head on her forearm, closing my eyes. I've finally accepted that she won't be coming back to me this time.
"I love you with all of my heart, Bella," I say, letting the tears fall.
"I love you with everything I am, Edward."
I look up to see the most beautiful brown eyes staring at me with such warmth and love, that it makes me cry just a little bit more. I give her a soft but passionate kiss, and make her promise me that she will never leave me. She agrees, so long as I do the same.
