It was nearing Thanksgiving on Sodor, and the Fat Controller needed an engine to take a turkey to a village feast that was being held.
Toby he announced. I want you to take the turkey for the village feast.
"Oh thank you sir!"
"However, I am having Thomas come with you with his snowplough. He added. There has been news that there will be a heavy snowfall early this year, and I want to take precautions that nothing will go wrong."
"Yes sir." And with a ring of his bell, Toby set off to collect the turkey.
...
He met Thomas at Dryaw Station, and the duo set off for the village. On their way, snowflakes began to fall.
"Brr- it's cold, Thomas!" Toby shivered.
"I know- I wish I didn't have to wear this dratted snowplough!" His companion groaned in response.
Toby just ignored him. Thomas was never keen on wearing his snowplough. The snow got heavier and heavier as they trooped towards the village.
They were halfway to the village when Thomas, who was ahead of the tram, began to slow down.
"Thomas- what's wrong?" Toby asked in concern.
"I'm out of water!" And he juddered to a stop.
The old tram thought a moment. He knew he was too old and not strong enough to push his friend through the heavy snow, but if he had some help...
"Well, Percy should be here somewhere." He said. "If I send out a distress signal maybe we could get help."
So he rang his bell as loudly as he could.
But no response came.
"Percy!" Thomas shouted out. "Where are you?"
The two continued to try and alert someone to their situation when Percy passed by.
"Hello Thomas! Hello Toby! Are you stuck?"
"No, we're waiting for the turkey to get back on the van!" Thomas huffed sarcastically. "Of course we're stuck!"
"Could you help us please Percy?" Toby asked politely.
"Of course I will!" Percy peeped.
Thomas was to be pushed by Percy to the Station and hopefully they could find water there. Percy couldn't afford to give his up as the water towers were frozen.
"Ready ,Thomas?" Asked Percy, buffering up to his friend and watched as he was coupled on to the blue tank engine.
"As ready as I'll ever be." Replied Thomas.
So the little green engine pushed his best friend to the village, whilst Toby followed on behind.
When they arrived, the village cheered for Percy, Toby and Thomas.
"Hooray! We have our turkey!"
"I'm sorry about being so sarcastic before." Thomas said to Percy. "You were wonderful out there."
"You're forgiven Thomas." Percy smiled, blushing at his friend's praise.
Thomas gave him too much credit.
