(Y/N) was in the bathroom finishing up her makeup. She was about to go out for drinks with her coworkers. She was excited ever since her husband Nick deployed she was alone in her apartment with nothing to do and nobody to talk to, she missed him but she was happy his deployment was over in two months. (Y/N) was about to put on her lipstick when she heard her phone ringing.
She answered. "Hello" (Y/N) said.
"Hey (Y/N)." the voice on the other side of the line replied. "It's Maya."
"Hey Maya. What's up?"
"I was just calling to see if you were still coming and if you'd like a ride."
(Y/N) was about to reply but she heard a noise. She walked out into the living room and she almost dropped her phone on the ground. Nick was standing at the front door with a huge grin on his face.
"I'm gonna have to take a rain check on that Maya." (Y/N) said before hanging up the phone.
Tears filled her eyes as she ran over to her husband and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I've missed you (Y/N)." Nick said quietly wrapping his arms around your waist and placing his chin on your head. (Y/N) pulled away and cupped his face with her hands.
"I've missed you too." she smiled.
Nick pulled her in closer and kissed her passionately.
(Y/N) pulled away with a confused look realizing that she was kissing the husband that wasn't supposed to be home until two months.
"Wait, Nick I thought you weren't back until June?"
Nick smiled. "I wanted to surprise you."
"Im so glad your home Nick." She smiled and kissed him once more.
"Were you about to go out?" Nick asked guiding (Y/N) to the couch with him.
"I was about to go out with Maya, Charlie, John, and Mark." (Y/N) said. "But now that your home I'm gonna spend the rest of the night with you."
"I love you (Y/N)." Nick said.
"I love you too Nick." (Y/N) smiled.
