Hi everyone! Well I have been reading the last of us fanfiction for a while now after watching Pewdiepies gameplay of it and have been wanting to write some fanfiction for it! Well, here I am. I'll start off with a small oneshot to start myself off. I've only ever wrote fanfiction for F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Harry Potter so I thought I would try something new.

"Hey Joel?" asked Ellie, they were walking through a forest, hunting for food to take back to the Dam

Joel grunted to show he was listening.

"If I found you a guitar, would you sing for me?" she said, looking up at him innocently

Before he could answer an arrow flew past Ellies head, missing her by inches and buried itself in the tree next to her. Joel grabbed her coat and pulled her behind the tree.

"Shit, hunters" he muttered.

"What do we do?" Ellie whispered,

"What we always do" and with that Joel pulled out his hunting rifle and looked past the tree. He counted about six of them, should be easy he thought.

He aimed down his sights and shot the first hunter right in the chest, he fell to his knees and the others took cover and began firing shots at the pair.

After about five minutes they had managed to kill four of them and Joel was currently wrestling with one of the last two on the ground, Ellie started towards him to help when the last hunter tackled her to the floor. She began fighting him but he pinned her down. She reached for her switchblade and brought it up to his neck but he grabbed her hand and started to force it back down to her throat. Just as it was about to cut her neck, something collided into the hunter and threw him off Ellie.

She quickly sat up and saw a Dog holding down the hunter, his paws on the mans chest. She quickly ran over and slit the guys throat. Then, remembering Joel, pulled out her revolver and shot the last hunter in the head.

Joel pushed the lifeless body of him and sat up breathing heavily. Ellie walked over to the dog, crouched down to his height and started stroking him.

"Thanks boy, really helped us out there. Well, at least I hope you're a boy" she tilted her head and looked at the underside of the dog. She stood up and cleared her throat.

"Yep, definitely a boy. What type of dog is he Joel?" she asked.

"By the looks of it, a Husky"

The dog was a lovely shade of white underneath and grey and black on top. It sat in front of the pair, looking up at them with sparkling blue eyes.

"Well, we better get back to hunting, it'll be dark soon and we don't wanna be running into any infected" said Joel, turning away from the dog.

"Joeeeeeeel" asked Ellie, tugging on his arm and looking up at him with puppy dog eyes.

"No Ellie" he said, already knowing what she was going to say.

"Please! I've always wanted a dog! And he did just save my life, he would be a great guard dog." She sat down next to the dog

"No Ellie!" he growled

"Please! Tommy has a guard dog up in the control room, wouldn't it be good to have an extra pair of ears in the house?"

Joel sighed, knowing he was fighting a losing battle.

"Pwease"

Joel looked between her and the dog, both pairs of eyes shining up at him. He sighed,

"Fine! But this time, I'm naming it. We won't be having another Callus incident."

Ellie jumped up in Glee, "Hey! Callus was a great name"

Joel snorted, as Ellie motioned for the dog to follow them. He bounded along beside them as they made their way along the forest path.

"And to answer you're earlier question, not in a million years. Now let's go catch ourselves some dinner!"
