Disclaimer: I own nothing involving Harry Potter so no suing. I also don't like some of the main characters so I changed it up a bit. Enjoy and review.
Chapter 1: A New Arrival
The school was in a pleasant uproar about what had been announced earlier that morning; a new student was being admitted a few weeks later than usual. Of course this news was the likes of which no one had ever heard of and no where in Hogwarts history was there anything like it. Everyone was pleased about it. Though all were wondering why this person was coming so late. Hopefully, all of their questions would be answered later that night.
The only person, who was not in a good mood, was Severus Snape. He was far more sulky then usual, though for some reason, he wasn't being his usual prick-self to anyone.
"Homework is one foot of parchment on different uses of wolfsbane. Class dismissed," was the most anyone heard out of him. Until later that night.
Everyone was seated in the Great Hall. Most were looking around as if to see where the new student was. The new kid, however, was no where in sight. The hall got quiet when The Headmaster stood up.
"Today, we welcome a new student. She is a young girl who just transferred from the Salem's Witch's Academy in America. I would like you all to be on your best behavior and treat her kindly. May I introduce, Ms. Kira Mageris?"
Out of the room behind the staff table, came a young girl, around the age of 16. She had black hair which its length was hidden underneath her robe. She was very beautiful to look at though she had the look of "fuck off" on her face. She was also looking at the floor instead of up at the students.
"We will now place the sorting hat on her head to determine which house she will be placed into."
Kira, though not really looking at anyone, walked up to the stool and sat down. Professor McGonagall placed the hat on her head and waited.
It seemed to take forever. You could see Kira's lips moving as if she were having a conversation with the hat. After a long wait, the hat finally shouted, "Slitherin!"
The Slitherins started yelling and clapping their hands. Every other table were exchanging looks of sadness (mainly the guys because they lost out on a beautiful girl.)
Kira went to go sit down after the hat was removed, though she sat very far away from the other Slitherins. She began to eat in silence and ignored all questions from the eager students. When she was finished, she looked at no one and pulled out a book to read.
Up at the table, Snape looked livid. It was almost as though he hated the fact that Kira had been placed in Slitherin. Though why, no one knew. At least not yet.
