The intense heat beat down on the small city of Amity Park. Many citizens were relaxing inside there cool air conditioned homes with icy glasses of lemonade. A few other people cooled of at the local water park diving in and out of the cold water. There were three exceptions however, the three teens sat on top of a secluded hill.
Danny lay on his back staring up at the few clouds that floated along the air currents. The clouds would hover near the sun as if they would cover the sun for a few moments but never actually succeeded. Danny sighed and looked over to his companions, Tucker had the long sleeves of his shirt and his pant legs rolled up as far as they could go in an attempt to cool down. Sam was fanning herself with her book desperately in an unsuccessful attempt to cool off.
Danny sighed at the horrendous heat and began to daydream of the snow filled days of winter and how nice they were. He imagined the beautiful snowflakes that fell softly to the ground and suddenly got an idea. He grinned, he had found the perfect way to cool down. He reached deep within himself until he found the coldness inside of him. Danny stood up and let his eyes glow a deep ice blue.
Tucker and Sam looked over to him and wondered what he was doing. A cool splash hit Sam's nose and made her glance upwards. Beautiful crystal stars were falling from the sky. The perfectly balanced snowflakes glittered and shined like the brightest stars as they danced there way to earth. Tucker looked up happily as he attempted to catch one of the freezing stars on his tongue. Sam danced as the stars swirled around her and cooled her sweaty frame down.
The stars kept falling at a leisurely pace until there were several inches coating the small clearing the trio inhabited. Danny released the cold one last time and sat down to rest for a moment in the cool snow to watch his creations shimmer and swoop to the ground. He grinned as he saw Sam and Tucker playing around and watching the snowfall to the ground. Sam came running up, her hair was dusted with the shining crystal and her eyes were gleaming with utter joy. She grabbed Danny's wrist and hauled him to his feet. They ran together through the brilliant meadow, slipping and sliding in the drifts of snow. Occasionally Tucker would throw a snowball and start an all out snow war. The trio would toss snow at one another till they were completely out of breath.
Hours later the three of them lay in the snow bank watching more of the flakes fall to the ground. Tucker looked at his watch and jumped to his feet when he saw the time he yelled
"I'm late for dinner, my moms going to kill me!" he dug into the snow to find his bag. Once he found it he slung it on his back and yelled to Danny and Sam "see you guys later!" as he rushed off attempting to avoid being grounded once again. Danny and Sam looked at one another and burst out laughing at Tucker's antics. They both got up off the snow bank and began to dance through the still falling glitter. Danny stopped in the middle of the clearing catching Sam as she slid past. He swung her around until they were facing one another barely inches apart.
Sam Stared into Danny's Icy eyes and leaned in. They connected and fell into a wonderful bliss. The meadow gleamed with the fresh snow; and the wind picked up ever so slightly and sent a stream of snowflakes flowing around the two. They looked up from one another and watched the beautiful falling stars.
