genocide is his only salvation

''

Spare Sans, and you'll find that sparing him means sparing you from the next tainted adventures. His attack at that exact moment is unavoidable, but why does he always, always give you a room, however small, to avoid his onslaught?

Think of it, Anomaly. He's trying his damnedest to stop you from going the hell path, but still gives you a chance to finish the walk anyway. Maybe, maybe he's giving up his world, his timeline, his brother, himself, for your bad ending. You've also tried your hardest for the destruction of the world. Maybe it's the only thing he could hope that will make you realize that it's finally enough.

Finishing the pacifist route gives you a tingling wish to reset anyway despite Flowey's plea, because you miss Underground. You miss the monsters and their weird antics. Because you miss Undertale. You can never get enough.

But Sans's different. He's had enough. He's had too much that he lets you destroy his life because the end that you're getting will finally stop his suffering.

If he doesn't exist, nothing can harm him.

That's why in the void, he thanks Chara and you. For breaking him free of the evil loop.

Of course, at this time, you can't see him thanking you because you have killed him and destroyed his world.

But hey, at least he's free, right?
