The Prince of Destruction
A hand batted over the comforter atop him until it found a ball of fur. He shoved at it. "Up Karupin, I gotta get up."
Ryoma sat up as the Himalayan jumped off the bed. His bleary eyes looked at his clock and then shut with a groan. 12:01 pm. It was afternoon and he'd just woken up!
Clambering up and getting dressed he ran out of the room just as his dad's hand descended on the door and rapped him on the head instead. "Time to get up lazy, we're going to go look at gi---" Nanjiroh's voice trailed off because Ryoma's cousin was in the room..
She shot him a glare. "Pervert uncle."
Ryoma rubbed his forehead and glared up at his dad, then walked past without a word. His dad annoyed him. As he walked past his dad, he saw Karupin's tail disappear around the corner. And his dad fell.
Ryoma turned around and blinked. One of Karupin's toys, a platic ball filled with catnip was rolling around the floor near his fathers foot. Shaking his head he went into the kitchen and poured himself a glass of orange juice.
Sitting at the table for a moment Karupin came up to him with a toy. "No Karupin---hey wait!"
Carrying the toy Karupin ran out of the house fleet-footed just as Ryoma's mom came in the house with a bag of groceries. "What was that about, he seemed upset," she said.
Sighing Ryoma chased after the cat, right out of the house they currently lived in, attached to the temple where his dad rang the bell. Running along the street chasing after Karupin he saw Oishi.
"Wanna go bowling," he called. Ryoma shook his head and ran. "Cat"
"Huh," Oishi said turning around. He didn't see the kid on the bike until he nearly ran into him and fell down trying to avoid him.
Karupin had gotten away from Ryoma. Now he had to look for him. Karupin was thrilled though. Kaidoh was playing with him! Ryoma ran around the corner and Karupin fled though.
"Karupin, come back. I'm sorry!"
Kaidoh was embarrassed to be seen playing with the cat and so he slid around the corner, hitting his head against a low branch in the park, before Ryoma could recognize him.
Karupin kept running though and only stopped outside a grocery store. Eiji jumped up and down so he didn't step on the kitty and dropped his precious toothpaste as he did so. Ryoma ran past and stepped on the toothpaste bottle.
"Gah, shorty, watch where you step!" Eiji then looked at his toothpaste. The lid had broken off and it was splattered over the ground.
"Sorry Eiji!" Ryoma was losing ground on the cat, but the cat was heading towards the bowling alley now.
The alley door opened and Ryoma ran inside and after the cat. The cat surprised at all the noise paused and then sat on a table. Ryoma walked up and picked Karupin up. "Bad cat," he muttered and blushed. Momo and Oishi and Kaidoh were all there. Momo dropped the ball on his foot seeing Ryoma there.
Oishi smiled, "I guess Karupin decided you were coming after all."
Just then Eiji walked into the door. "Guys, we have to do something about Ryoma, he stepped on my toothpaste! Oh- hi Ryoma. Get the cat?"
