Sae buried her head in her hands. Grabbing her pillow, she threw it against the wall, listening to the dull thud of her walkman being knocked off the shelf.

Stupid pillow.. she muttered sullenly, rolling herself into a tight ball.

She hated Momo Adachi. No wait, more like completely despised her. Momo was always so perfect. The best swimmer in the school, liked by a ton of cute guys, and not to mention the fact she was totally gorgeous and had the most beautiful tan skin. She had it all. Sae sniffled, feeling hot tears gush down her face once more.

she whispered quietly, rolling onto her side and snuggling deeper into the blanket.

Why can't I be like that..

her soft tears soon turned into heart wrenching sobs, as she lost herself in her deep agony. Her body shook with the force of her tears, as she remembered everything that had happened over the past few days. How Momo had exposed her plot, how her old friends had turned against her, how Adachi had completely destroyed her life.. And how Toji had gotten even further out of her grasp. She had hoped that by turning the entire school against Momo that Toji would hate her too. But everything had completely backfired....

Eventually her crying stopped, for it seemed she had no more tears left inside to cry. With a depressed sigh, Sae flicked a strand of hair out of her eyes, trying to remind herself once again why she had done what she had done to Momo. It was all because of..Toji. The one thing in the world she could never let Momo have. The minute she had seen him, she had known he was the only one for her. That no matter who else she could meet in her life, he was the special one that could make all her dreams come true.

But then there was Momo...He loved her, she loved him. That was the problem. As long as Toji loved Momo, he could never be hers. That was why she had plotted against Momo for so long, turned her friends against her, taken away everything she cared about, turned her life into a living hell. Tried to break her and Toji apart. She could never be like Momo, the angel of light and goodness. No, instead she could be the opposite, the devil that would inflict pain upon Momo and bring about her eventual demise. Sae stared at her ceiling with newfound determination. All her tears cried, now she was ready to begin again. To pick up the pieces of her life that Momo had ruined, and begin a new plan to tear the two love birds apart.

Maybe somewhere deep inside Sae realized that no matter what she did, Toji and Momo would still feel the same about each other, and no matter how much she tried, she could never take Toji's heart from Momo. All she knew at that moment, was she was tired of walking in Momo's shadows. It was time to take a step away, and get back to the limelight where she knew she belonged.
