Multichapter story. this takes places about six months after the movie. Stoick has called for a meeting of the Chiefs for new trading routes, now the dragons have become part of their society. And by tradition the chief's son must be there. needless to say, Astrid is not happy with this.
It was a time of peace of opportunities for the Vikings of Berk. Without any of the dragon raids, the fishing, farming and other things that usually were bad because of the dragons, went a lot better. So good, in fact, that Stoick had decided to have Berk marked on the map as a Trading Stop. Which usually would sound perfect, but the truth was far from it.
New Trading routes had to be discussed with the chiefs of other clans and the head of the Viking Trading Corporation or VTC. Not really a corporation, but it sounded good. It was basically the chief of the clan who had his village as the center of all trading routes.
Which also wouldn't sound so bad, if the process of discussing new trading routes wasn't so long and slow. There hadn't been new trading routes established for 200 years.
Off course, first all the chiefs of the important Trading Tribes had to be invited for the Meeting. Then they had to wait until everyone had complied. Then a lot of Traders had to be invited as well. A date that was good for all chiefs and traders had to be set. This whole process took five months. But that wasn't the worst part.
The meeting had to be in Vorstagg, the town where the head of the VTC was chief. Stoick and the other chiefs had to be there and, in honor of Tradition, the heirs to the Chief's throne as well. It was tradition that the heirs would participate in some friendly games of completion, during the meeting.
No idea what I will do with this story.
