"Warp factor three Mr. Sulu." Captain Jim Kirk commanded, the yellow shirted helmsman nodding and doing as he was told. The U.S.S Enterprise launched out into deep space, continuing on her five year voyage to explore the universe. Jim Kirk and his crew had just left a foreign planet, having worked hard to understand their culture and negotiate peace, but of course his First Commander Spock had taken the lead.

Mr. Spock... Boy, Jim could go on for hours about his First Commander. Not only was Spock an excellent Starfleet Commander, he was also someone Jim could actually call friend. But recently, Jim had been feeling more than just friendship for Spock. It first started a few weeks prior when Spock had given a debriefing. Jim was supposed to be learning about the politics of the natives on Guan 12, but instead, he was more interested in thinking about just how Spock got his hair so perfect in the mornings.

Jim rose from his chair and swallowed dryly. That morning, Jim had decided to finally confess his love for Mr. Spock. His biggest fear was just worrying if Spock didn't like him back.

"Mr. Spock, can I have a word?" The captain asked and Spock turned, nodding and stepping over to somewhere private.

"This is important, I can assume?" Spock asked in that monotonous voice that made Jim's knees weak.

"Spock, you and I have been friends for a while right? And we tell each other most everything." Jim started, rubbing the back of his head nervously.

"Yes, as far as my knowledge goes, that has been the case." Spock replied, the Vulcan's brown eyes noticing the captain's strange body language. Unaware to Jim, Spock had been feeling the same for him ever since the attack from Khan.

"W-what I'm trying to say is that, well, Spock I would trust you with my life. I feel closer to you than I do with anyone else on this ship." Jim explained and stepped closer, noticing the ever so slight widening of Spock's eyes, "And lately, I have been feeling more than just friendship and adoration for you." Jim said, his voice quieting at the end of his sentence. Spock's heart began to beat faster, a slight green tinge forming in his cheeks.

"Captain, I-I do not find this very professional." Spock stuttered which made Jim stifle a laugh. Jim then stepped even closer, locking eyes with the handsome Vulcan in front of him.

"It's not supposed to be professional Spock because... Because I love you, Spock." Jim finally blurted out and Spock's jaw dropped. His face was now beginning to turn bright green with embarrassment as the realization of what Jim had just said hit him.

"Love is a dangerous emotion, Jim. I do not understand." Spock said, his voice now down to a whisper for he couldn't tear his eyes away from the gorgeous pools of blue that were Jim Kirk's eyes.

"Then maybe this will clarify." Jim muttered before leaning forward and kissing Spock. The kiss practically sent a jolt of electricity through Spock, his eyes shooting wide open out of surprise and embarrassment. Jim's lips were soft and gentle, a much better kisser than Uhura ever was. Spock's entire world went white, his emotional blockade quickly being broken down by the most gorgeous man in Starfleet. His eyes finally fluttered closed as he wrapped his arms around Jim's shoulders. It was only when they needed to breathe that they separated.

"Do you understand the concept now, Mr. Spock?" Jim asked, staring at the trembling Vulcan in his arms.

"Y-yes... I do believe you have shown me something no one else could." Spock whispered, having fallen under the spell of James Tiberius Kirk.
