A Father's Love
A story about Edward and Renesmee
***I DO NOT OWN TWILIGHT***
This is new to me, so be fair, but kind.
My Beautiful daughter Renesmee, perfect in every way. She is the perfect combination of both Bella and I in both looks and special power. Everything about her is unique because Bella and I were and are unique. Our family has come through so much to be happy and together for the last ten years. Once the Volturi left and we finally could truly settle down it has been perfect. I never knew I could be so happy, but my wife and daughter have given me a happiness I never thought possible. However, she is only ten years old, but grown at seven, but appears to be seventeen like Bella and myself. All of us will be eternally seventeen. Here she comes now.
"Dad," Renesmee said.
"Yes"
"Can I talk to you?"
"You know you can," I said.
"I am so scared about starting high school tomorrow. I know the family will be there, but I am nervous no one will like me." She said.
"You are so like your mother in that you worry too much. You will have everyone that loves you there to support you." Worrying was one of the things she had inherited from you mother and I silently chuckled at that.
She was such a confident and sure young woman, much as I was before I met Bella and she made me doubt everything that came before. Bella made me feel so human and I loved it, but I also doubted my confidence, I had always had. I learned that love makes you doubt everything. I chuckled to myself.
"Nessie, people are naturally wary of our kind. Though you are different from us, you are different from them as well. Though you are more like them than any of us, you will startle them with your beauty and your brains." She looked at me with a look that brought out the crinkle she inherited from me in her forehead. I heard her thoughts then…My Dad is being too kind. I will never be as beautiful as my mother and Rosalie or as smart as my father. Heck, my father was beautiful if you could call a man beautiful. I see why my mother could not resist him. If I could be more like them, I would feel so much better.
"Renesmee, look at me." I said. She looked up with her beautiful chocolate eyes, so much like her mothers human ones. I looked deep into her eyes so she could see I was being sincere and not just saying the things any normal father would say.
"You are more beautiful, smart, and unique that no one can resist you. Even the mortal enemy of the Vampire, a werewolf, Jacob imprinted on you when it is against his nature to do so. That should tell you that you are so very special. You are half Bella and miraculously, half me. You have inherited what is best of both of us …Human and Vampire. You made me realize that I was not a monster after all. That I could help create something as special as you, and have your mothers love too. Renesmee, you help to make my life complete when I thought being and having your mothers love was the grandest experience of my existence, but you gave me more than I dared hope to dream of."
She looked up at me with a smile, the crooked smile of mine Bella always loved.
"Thank You, I feel better now that we talked. I am going to bug Jacob now." She said.
"That's my girl," I said as I smiled after her as she disappeared into the forest to Jacob's one room house we had built for him. Though It was not romantic as Bella and I feared her bond with Jacob was just as strong as his was to her. It was as if they were twins instead of Vampire-Human and Werewolf. Their relationship reminded me of Alice and myself. However, since he married Leah I was afraid that she would not like Nessie around that much, but I think she looks at her like a daughter. Life was good. I smiled and went in search of my life, Bella.
