It's Christmas Day when Callie is in the kitchen getting together a platter of little snacks that consisted of crackers, pepperoni, and cheeses to tie everybody over until the big Christmas dinner when her boyfriend Jay came up behind her fresh from a shower and wrapped his arms around her
"Need any help?"
No I'm, I'm good." She gets flustered by his handsome looks and his amazing scent
"Maybe you could take this over to the coffee table while I jump in the shower?"
"I can do that."
"What?" Callie asks
"What was her name again?"
"Lauren's?"
"Lauren, got it."
"You remember Arizona too right?"
"Of course she's Sofia's Mother also."
"Okay just checking." She hands him the platter and kisses his cheek and goes to take a shower
Jay brings the platter over to the table and smiles "anyone hungry for some snacks?"
Sofia smiles and grabs a cracker and goes back to playing with a new toy with Arizona.
"So Dr. Carter."
"Oh Please, call me Jay."
"Jay." Sofia says
Jay laughs
"Okay so Jay how are you liking it here in Seattle?" Lauren asks
"I love it, it's homey in a way different than Connecticut was."
"Do you like our hospital?" Lauren asks
"I do it's home."
"What are your intentions?" Arizona asks out if the blue
"Oh Arizona." Lauren squeezes her thigh
"Excuse me?" Jay asks
"Intentions, your intentions with Callie?"
"Oh ah well I guess just date until she is comfortable ready for the next step, dating is fun."
"Callie wants a life, a family and more kids."
"Arizona.." Lauren tries to stop her
"We'll in the future when we are ready for that talk we will have it."
"Do you also plan to adopt Sofia too?"
"Look Dr. Robbins, you are her mother I don't intend for that to change or take her away from you at all if that's what your implying."
"I respect you and Callie Dr. Robbins and I concur you do the same."
"I'm not here to cause drama between your parenting with Callie."
"I would like to earn your permission to be able to help guide Sofia in which ever way she chooses in life and have some authority in her life and to keep her safe."
"I think Jay is a good guy Arizona, he just wants to protect Sofia."
"Isn't that what you want, to keep your daughter safe?"
"Mama." Sofia says trying to get her attention
"I'll talk to you more about this next week Dr. Carter it's Christmas and I just want to enjoy this day with my family." She squeezes Lauren's hand
Callie comes out dressed in a red dress and her hair all pretty.
"Hey what's going on in here?"
Callie looks at Arizona
"Wow Calliope you look really pretty."
"Thank you Arizona."
"Pity Momma."
Callie smiles "Thank you baby."
Jay stands up and puts his hands on her hips "Wow don't you look so sexy" he says kissing her.
Callie kisses him back as Arizona watches.
"Okay who needs wine Arizona, Lauren?"
"I'll get it you sit sweetie." Jay says and goes to get some wine glasses and the bottle of wine
Sofia follows Jay "Jay pease?"
Jay smiles "What can I get you baby eggnog, water, juice?"
"Um berry juice pease?"
"Nice asking Sof." Jay goes Into the fridge and gets out a berry juice box squeezing it Into her sippy and hands it to her.
"Fanks!" She goes back over to Callie and gets up on her lap
"Mmm Momma smell good." She smells her hair
Callie smiles and rubs her back.
Jay comes over and pours them all some wine.
"So did you guys find something to talk about while I was in the shower?"
