Hi...read on...

Rapunzel sat on a bench outside the castle. Oh, how she loved the outdoors. She watched a blue jay flit from tree to tree, singing a sweet song. The trees swayed gently as if they were dancing. The wind blew lightly on her short chocolate tresses. She watched the nature around her, wishing she could write a poem about it at the moment.

"Hello Rapunzel." Her mother appeared, and sat down on the bench as well.

Throughout the two years she'd spent in the palace, she and her mother had become close.

"Rapunzel, we need to talk." She said.

Rapunzel steeled herself for bad news.

"Darling, I think that you deserve to know. Gothel, Gothel was a smart woman. She was your father's advisor." She began, and Rapunzel was surprised.

"And I think that, that, since she was a smart woman, when she took you, she knew that if she called you the same name that the princess was named, that would raise suspicion and we would realize that it was you or something. And all that. So...So... Darling, Rapunzel wasn't your original name. Your father and I named you, and we decided to tell the kingdom your name the day after your birth, at the naming ceremony as a surprise. But you were kidnapped, and nobody knew the name, other than us." Her mother said.

"And it was...?"

"Celestia."

"Should I go by that?" Rapunzel asked.

"No dear, Rapunzel is fine. Of all the evil in Gothel, she was good at naming." Her mother said.
