It's been a few months since the end of Danganronpa. I've done nothing but travel the worlds, looking for any sort of clues that would lead me to the Forest of Long Lasting Life. However, all that searching has left me is was nothing but empty promises. I've finally settled in The Crypt for now, the capital city of the Undead Universe. It was there...I met someone.
Linc was walking the streets of the city before turning down an alley. "You can come out now. I've been able to sense you since I came here." Linc said.
"Huh. So even a god is unable to avoid your detection. I'm impressed." a voice said as coming out was the so called Supreme God of Death, Desmond.
"I can tell you aren't human. My chains could tell that easily." Linc said pointing to one wrapped around Desmond's ankle. "And my chains can suppress anyone. So tell me...what is it that you want?"
"Negotiations first huh? Fine. I'll cut to the chase. Those souls squirming around inside your body...I want to collect them." he said.
"Sorry, but I have a promise to keep to them." Linc said.
"I know. You wish to see them brought back to life right?" Desmond asked. "I can do that."
"Is that right?" Linc asked.
"My friend is attempting to revive the victims of the previous killing games. He is reconstituting bodies from their remains. But he needs souls as well. I already claimed some from the afterlife and fractions from the cards wielded by Hope during their adventure in the Datascape. But...we need yours to complete everything." Desmond said.
"Tell me...the souls you gathered...are one of them Tsumugi Shirogane?" Linc demanded.
"You are more perceptive that I thought. Yes. Tsumugi and Junko would be revived too." Desmond said. "The president of the Heroes Coalition is very fond of giving people second chances. Do not worry, Mr. Mario will keep them in line."
"Mario huh? I know of him. He was friends with my master before he met his end 20 years ago." Linc said.
"So...will you hand over the souls or continue this futile search?" Desmond asked.
Linc thought hard. He knew he had some chance to find the forest but he didn't know if he would either find it just in time or too late. "Tell me...would they be stuck in a fight?"
"It is likely.' Desmond said.
"Number 4: Promise Chain!" Linc said as a chain pierced into Desmond's chest and wrapped around his heart.
"What...what is this?" Desmond asked.
"Promise Chain. A power that holds someone to a promise." Linc said. "You will keep this promise for the rest of your days. If any of my friends meet death again...the chain inside of you will crush your heart. Doesn't matter if your immortal or not. A promise is absolute."
"Hehehe. You certainly are a crafty one." Desmond said laughing. "Fine. Its a promise."
"Number 6: Spirit Chain!" Linc said as the chain then showed the souls of the Danganronpa victims minus Korekiyo, K1-B0 and Tsumugi. "I transfer you!" he said sending them into Desmond. "And one other thing." Linc said as out came a small portion of his soul. "Give this soul to a pure hearted person within your little posse...and they will have the ability to create Laws. Then instruct them to create laws for the newly revived people. This is my gift to them."
"A powerful gift it is. You've giving up some of your life for these guys. I cannot comprehend why though." Desmond said.
"These people...they were my closest friends when I awoke. They helped get my memory back. I would go to hell and back for them." Linc said. "Now...its about time I left."
"Left?" Desmond asked.
"Like you, I too have a promise I wish to keep." Linc said seriously. "Diego...or rather Diablo...I'm coming."
