'Just cuz you did right, doesn't mean you have to feel right'
Was what she kept telling herself over and over again. She felt bad, no she felt terrible. She knew it was probably the right thing to do but she had no idea if she did it she would feel this bad. Sitting on the counter with tears streaming down her face Jules pulled her knees up to her chest and said the line over and over again
'Just cuz you did right, doesn't mean you have to feel right'
Greg told her that the first time she shot someone and it was the best thing anyone ever told her. Sighing she tried to calm her breathing but it was not working, and when she heard a knock at the door she buried her face in her hands hoping they would just go away. They knocked again, she wiped her eyes and went to go investigate. Opening the door she saw Sam there, his bike in the driveway, he just stood there. A tear fell and before she knew it she was in his arms, face in his chest, sobbing.
'Shhh Jules, its gunna be ok'
He said as he stepped in the door. She looked up at him, with that always perfect hair and the amazing blue eyes and said
'How? How do you know?'
Slipping off his shoes he guided her over to the couch and sat her down. She leaned on his chest as he pulled her closer. She was not afraid to cry in front of him because he never judged, he was always there for her. Looking back into his eyes she said
'Sam, did I mess up?'
Without a word he placed his hands on her cheeks and kissed her gently.
'Jules I think you did what was right'
Laying her head back down she closed her eyes and hoped he was right.
