Clio's First Day

Disclaimer: I own Clio and her dad, every thing else is JK's (A Whole New World is a song in Disney's Aladdin and has nothing to do with this story but its Walt Disney's none the less))

A/N: For my very few but very valued readers, you will soon read that I have completely revamped this story. I have renamed the main character Clio after the Muse of History in ancient Greek mythology. Also, I'm sorry about At Last, I let it fall, but I intend to finish it sometime because I would never abandon a story! Never! So hope is not lost for At Last, I hope you all like my new fic and for the last time it has nothing to do with Disney's Aladdin! I just needed a title and A Whole New World just kinda fit... On with the Story!

The doors to the Great Hall swung open, the Hall was empty and the enchanted ceiling glimmering as a girl walked in.

Clio Aralias was 5'4" and was petite with long, curly brown hair that reached to the middle of her back. She had beautiful bright blue eyes, a fiery attitude, and an infectious smile…most of the time. Today was Clio's first day at her new

school. She had been transferred to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from The Queensland International

Academy of Magic. She had excelled at every subject, especially history, which she attributed to her namesake, Clio, the ancient Greek Muse of history.

It had been her mother's idea, she was told, to name her after a minor goddess.

Her father, James Aralias, had been transferred from the Australian Ministry of Magic to the Ministry of Magic in London as

the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and as one of the top aurors in the Ministry. Clio and her

father had needed to move quickly, so she couldn't finish the 3rd year of her school in Australia. And on top of all of

this, she was now lost in a new school with no map and apparently no people.

Now what am I gonna do!

Clio thought, I'm lost in a new school, in a new country, in a new hemisphere! Mum, Help ME!

Clio fell to her knees, only now feeling the pain of what had happened... and she soon realized that her mother wasn't

going to come, ever again. Her mother had been killed by a Death Eater no more than a month ago and even at the funeral,

Clio didn't cry. But now she cried.

Look at me! I'm a sniveling mess! What would mum think, ha, I'll never know, because you know what! She's Dead!

D-E-A-D! She will never know what you think because you're never gonna see her again.

For some odd reason that calmed Clio down a bit, and she wiped the tears that still lingered on her eyelashes and looked around.

This must be where they have the balls and the feasts.

She took every thing in, the polished wood floors, the enchanted ceiling that was now showing autumn rain, the high

windows with the golden panes, and finally a stained glass window at the front of the Hall with some sort of crest on it, a

roaring lion, a hissing snake, a soaring eagle, and a serious badger.

Must be the school crest…an animal for every house? She guessed.

Clio's old school had only three houses, Tarashu, the house of the Dragon for the clever and bold, Menia, the house of

the Lioness for the brave but cold, and Reveri, the house of the Owl for the meek and wise. She had been in Tarashu, at the

Queensland Academy of Magic.

Clio looked around once more, and turned and walked out the door…it was already getting dark and she had to find a

teacher or headmaster or someone who could help her. Her first day, at Hogwarts was already turning out to be like the

weather outside, cold and miserable…

Review and tell me what you think... Just kinda came to me...
