When The Pain Finally Ends

This is a poem i made up in about ten minutes, so it's a little off, but my friends liked it, so i am putting it on here. I hope you like it! This poem will have a sequel named "Home At Last". It starts off right after the other one. It's a continuation.

When The Pain Finally Ends

You rise as I fall

I say nothing as you scream ugly words

I dial 911 to make the call

You snatch back the phone

And scream even more

You hit me and kick me,

Throw me down on the ground

I see it in your drunken eyes

My time's almost gone

The day will never come

When I'm happy again

A dungeon called home

Is all that I have left

As I'm screaming and crying,

All full of pain,

You decide to end it,

To make my life drain

As my last heartbeat pounds,

I don't make a sound

I see flashing lights

And hear a siren's wail

Then darkness consumes me

And I'm released from my fright
