Kendall's P.O.V

I was sitting in the hospital bed while I read some hockey magazines. My mom was also in the room, reading People magazine. Soon there was a knock at the door, we both looked up to see my girlfriend Ryann standing in the doorway.

"Come on in sweetie…I'll just leave you two alone, I'll be in the cafeteria, text or call me if you need anything." My mom said as she stood up to go to the cafeteria.

"How are you today?"

"I'm good…just a little tired…how about you?" I asked.

"Just wanted to spend some time with my boyfriend."

"Awesome…what do you wanna do?"

"I brought 500 Days of summer; I thought we could watch that."

"Sure…can you text my mom and tell her she can go home if she wants, because you'll be here for a while." I said smiling, and taking her small hand in mine, gently pulling her onto the bed.

"Yeah…"

"Thanks…"

An hour into the movie

Ryann's P.O.V

I looked up at Kendall to see that he had fallen asleep. I shut off the movie and just laid in the bed with him, feeling his chest rise and fall, evening out with his breaths. I saw him mom appear in the doorway, allowing me to go home and get some rest for tomorrow, since I had to go to school. I slowly got up, kissed his cheek and whispered "Don't give up" in his ear. The phrase "Don't give up" was the motto for him with his battle of leukemia. I then got the movie out of the DVD player, then left letting his mom take over and watch him.

2 months later

After a year and a half of Kendall being diagnosed with Leukemia, he was finally in remission. Of course there was a chance that it could come back, but we didn't want to give up hope that he was completely okay forever. I didn't like to see him go through this; the medicine and the tiredness overtaking him. We had been going out for six months before his diagnosis, and when we found out I was afraid that I would lose Kendall forever. During his remission, I was somewhat relieved to know that I wouldn't lose Kendall.

6 years later

Still Ryann's P.O.V

It had been 6 years after the doctors had announced Kendall's remission. Since then Kendall had proposed to me 3 years ago, we had gotten married on May 25th 2 years ago, and now we had a one and a half year old son and a daughter on the way. Kendall's hair was growing back; he was happier and positive every single day. Two months before we had gotten married, the doctors gave us the final say on his remission, declaring it was clear for good. We were finally having our life together. And we couldn't wait for the years to come.

A/N: Sorry it's so short, but I wanted to get this out, and couldn't really think of anything. Anyways I hope you liked it. Please review! And KEEP praying for James.
