She

By Trumpet-Geek

A nameless young man walked slowly, aimlessly, deliberately down the middle of the lane, shuffling his feet as though he had nowhere to go but forward to a scintillating future. Watching him was sort of like watching a ship sail off to the horizon, knowing that it was taking your dreams and hopes with it, never to return. The feeling of despair and helplessness and disenchantment came off him in droves, secretly telling everyone to stay away from him.

Alone. He was always alone. That's the way he wanted it.

Cherry blossoms littered the air, strewn on the ground around him as he continued down his lonely path, hands jammed into his jeans pockets, head hung low. They stuck to his dark clothes like burs.

He was a handsome young man, nameless as the sky, with chocolate hair and beautifully sad eyes. He was one among billions and nothing special.

He suddenly halted his weary movements, robotic and yet smooth all the same. He raised his soulful yellow orbs to the stars.

"Why?"

He stared a few moments more at the stars before trudging on, knowing he wasn't going to get an answer. People like him aren't meant to understand. She would have, though. She had understood everything.

The wind picked up and he lowered his head against it, picking up his pace. He trekked onward down the tiny country lane, always moving toward that bright future that didn't exist. Not for him anyway. He was a killer and always would be, in more ways than one.

Nothing else was real in that moment but him, trudging on, seeing her spinning and laughing and drinking milk in front of him. Just like it used to be. Just like it never would be again.

Author's Note: Hey, I know it's surprising that I came up with a story when I haven't updated in forever, but it wouldn't leave me alone until I got it out. There aren't enough Black Cat fics here anyway. This is it, just a drabble about Train and Saya. I won't be adding anything to it, so there's no use asking:P I would appreciate reviews! Please no flames tho. I wrote it in like five minutes, so.. yeah. Hope you enjoyed it!
