The Giver Alternate Ending:
I jumped to my feet when I heard the beautiful, soothing music playing in the warm, cozy house. I grabbed Gabe into my arms and ran, and ran all the way till the house was in my direct view. I walked up to the door and saw an unusual tiny box with button, by the door. I touched it. While I touched it I felt a sudden urge to press it. After I had pressed it a "Ding-Dong-Ding," sound ran throughout the house. Ten seconds later I saw someone. Someone that looked EXACTLY like me. I gasped.
"Oh my…gosh! I knew this day would finally happen," The look-alike me said.
I had nothing to say, but something did come out, "Umm…"
"My parents told me this day would happen! This is soo COOL! Right?" it was a rhetorical question, but I still had a urge to answer.
"Can you please just tell me where I am? I have a little baby to take care of." I looked straight in the eye and motioned him to look at Gabriel. When he looked at the baby in my arms I could see the stiffness in his eyes melt.
"I didn't see THIS in the prediction." his eyes were staring at the ground in deep thought.
"What prediction?" I asked him.
"Nothing, nothing. You will soon find out," I could tell he trying to go for the whole mysterious look, but I couldn't stand this so I asked " CAN YOU PLEASE JUST TELL ME WHERE WE ARE?"
" Yes I can answer that," he snapped back.
I waited and waited for an answer, but his mouth remained closed.
"May you please tell me, please," I finally asked politely.
"But first let me tell you my name," he said very calmly. I stared at his light sea blue eyes, which were identical to mine. A few seconds later it hit me. I jerked my head down to see my clothes full of colors. I could feel the smile forming on my lips as I saw Gabe's and my clothes. " My name is Kevin, and I welcome you to Elsewhere." then he bowed and welcome me into his home.
