This is "The Ocean's Daughters," a piece that has been written in my diary for years before I even contemplated publishing it up on a website. Any reviews are GREATLY appreciated, as I am in a bit of a slump right now and could definitely use the love.
It came from the sea.
Twisting, unfolding, evil aberration
Invading virgin sands with shadows and footprints
Left bold in the morning
A silent warning
Soft-spoken girls plucked from their beds, eyes
Heavy-lidded, to follow new fathers
Battered feet, careless apprehension
Disappear beneath the water
Become the ocean's daughters
